Help me decide - should I link these tickets in advance?

We are taking 4 family members to WDW this summer. I bought hard tickets for them from Undercover Tourist. Until I link them to a specific person in MDE, I could use them for myself at a later time if the trip were canceled. Once linked in MDE to a person, I would no longer be able to use them for myself. My concern is with 4 people going besides us, that's 4 people who could have a family emergency and have to cancel. If that happens then I've paid for four, seven-day tickets that I can't do anything with once I link it to them. If it weren't for FP+ I would just wait until the day before or even day of to link them. However, since we are going in June I'm worried if I don't link them and make FP+ reservations nothing good will be left as far as rides and I want this to be a memorable trip for them.

Tickets can be reassigned to another profile within MDE as long as they have never been used to enter a park.

Actually, tickets can be reassigned within your MDE friends and family group as long as they haven't be USED. So go ahead, link them, and if they cancel, just reassign them to you later.
