Poll coming...

For New Year's Day I am planning on sipping on some Sangria. I always make a red Sangria, but I have been toying with the thoughts of making a white Sangria. Please help me decide! Thanks! :teeth:

More importantly, tell me how you make it. I'm thinking of bringing that to my friend's house for NYE!

mix them together and make pink :teeth:

I don't really have a recipe, I kinda just throw it together, but here is what I do for the Red Sangria...
I get a big jug of cheap red wine.

In a pitcher I throw in some cut up apples, oranges, lemons, limes, basically whatever fruit I have on hand, LOL. I pour in some Pineapple Juice and Orange Juice. I then pour in the cheap red wine. I throw in some sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir it all up. It has to sit for at least 24 hours.

Sorry, I don't have exact amounts. Some people also put in brandy. Also some people mix it with club soda or other fizzy stuff prior to serving (I dont' do that, I like it straight up :rotfl: ).

Just ask me, and I'll give you my very specific instructions. :rotfl2:

I'm still not sure, and I am going shopping in the morning. :confused3

LOL. For the pineapple juice, I get the small individual cans and use 2 or three of those. The orange juice, I don't us a lot since I am actually allergic to it in larger doses. I would say a 1/2 cup or more. Sugar is about 1/2 a cup, maybe a little less.

As far as the fruit, usually cut up one apple, one lemon, etc. :teeth:

Those are MUCH better instructions! :love2:

And I always thought it was just wine and fruit. I didn't realize there was other stuff involved. I'll be going food shopping tonight, so I'll buy some stuff for it and make it tonight.

I thought I was over my sangria kick. And here I am, headed to the kitchen to start some

How's this for irony Miss Jasmine - the one and only drink I wanted while pregnant was White Sangria. I think that's a very delicious drink, especially in the warmer summer months.

I had some about 5 weeks after having the baby and it was delicious.

Okay, so I went grocery shopping. Bought oranges, apples, limes, lemons, pineapple juice, orange juice. Went to the liquor store and bought brandy and.........

two boxes of Franzia Sangria. I decided not to make my own. I'll just add fruit and maybe some brandy and pineapple juice. :rotfl2:

I'm currently on my third glass of Almaden Red Sangria. Yummy. Weird though, because I can't stand the taste of wine.

Oooh! The white Sangria Looks and sounds really good! In fact, I was just watching an episode of one of Rachel Ray's travel food shows on the Food Network (not $40 a day- it was "Taste of ........" and she was in Atlanta). Anyway, she was in some restaurant that serves Tapas and there specialty drink is Red and White Sangria. It looked Delicious with all the ice and fruit.
YUM-OH!!!
