Help me decide! Poly/BC or AKL/BC?

Hi! We stayed at BC for 6 nights last July and loved it! That was our first time at a Deluxe. We are able to stay more nights (10) this summer and would like to try a different resort, but also don't want to give up our beloved BC so are planning a split stay. We currently have booked 3 nights Poly/7 nights BC. Now I am second guessing myself and thinking about doing the first 3 at AKL. I've dreamed about staying there since it opened but I'm also thrilled to try the Poly. We will be at the first resort over July 4th. Should I leave well enough alone? Would it be crazy to do 1 night AKL/2 Poly/7 BC?? It's just myself, DH and DD(6).

What would you do and why?

I was going to suggest AKL until you mentioned that the first leg will cover the 4th of July. That made me change my mind to Poly. IMHO being able to watch the fireworks on the 4th from the Poly, and not have to deal with the thundering mass of people in MK, is priceless.

That's the plan right now, fireworks from the Poly. No way we would deal with MK on the 4th! Last trip we went to MK on the 3rd, same show.

I need some more information on the type of room at AKL? Will you have a balcony for viewing of the animals or not? How much time do you spend in your room during the day? I think all these questions should be asked when deciding on AKL.

We would book Savannah view. We plan to spend a little more resort time this trip since it will be longer. We usually hit RD and then return early afternoon and hang out a while then clean up and go to dinner. Rarely do evening EMH.

Love AKL. It's amazing! But 4th of July fireworks from the poly beach would be too hard to pass up.

I would stick with the Poly/BC split. We love AKL as it's a great resort, but the Poly is our favorite overall and I agree with dansdad that you can't beat being at the Poly over 4th of July. I would save AKL for another trip as I think a 1/2/7 split would be too much (but that's just me).

Poly/BC! It's the best of both worlds in terms of proximity to parks. We do this quite a bit - do an MK resort and an EP resort in the same trip - it really keeps park transportation down to a minimum. Plus Poly on July 4?!!! Absolutely!
