I have a 8 night stay booked for September at The Polynesian Resort in Club Level. I booked it because we've stayed there before and loved it but I was also thinking that maybe an Epcot area resort might be nice especially since Food and Wine will be going on when we visit. Yacht Club had availability for about $1000 less for a club level room and I think the pool there might be very interesting. I like that two parks are close by and easily accessible but Poly is just a walk to the TTC to hop the Epcot monorail and MK is right there. I am really torn. Anybody stayed both? Was the lounge better at one than the other? Any other thoughts that might help me decide? BTW - trip is my husband and me and our adult daughter and her boyfriend no children. TYIA!

I've stayed at both and prefer the club level at Poly - beautiful room and view. That being said, YC is my, overall, favorite resort. Access to EP and DHS, plus tons of restaurants and other amenities within walking distance just beats the inconvenience of any type of Disney transportation, IMHO. Personally, I would save the $1000 and spend it on other WDW experiences.

Poly is under construction. I would pick anywhere but Poly. And yes, Poly is on the TTC/monorail, but it's a long ride. I've taken a Lyft more than once from Poly to Epcot.

Club level at Disney is not as nice as what you may be used to in actual nice hotels. I would peek around at the club level threads or videos before you commit to it.

If you are park warriors, club level might not be worth it at all.

Stormalong Bay is a real experience, with the massive waterslide, beach, waitresses. It's awesome. But it's also overrun with kids and plays Disney music, so maybe not what 4 grown adults are looking for. And it can be fight for chairs crowded at times.

I wouldn't count out Swolphin. At least price it out.

I'm a vote for YC. I've not stayed at that CL but the location is what makes it for us. We stay at BW or Swan/Dolphin a lot for walkability/boats to two parks. We love the monorail resorts but the ability to walk to 2 parks has the epcot area resorts our top choices. Also, the CL is great if you will not be in the parks a lot but if you plan to be more park visit heavy than resort visit heavy, CL is not really worth it. If I were you, I'd take into consideration which parks you'd visit more and maybe go from there. If you plan to be in MK a lot, then maybe stick to Poly.

I'd go YC. It is my #1 favorite resort on property. Poly is o.k. but it is under construction right now. Even when it's not it is a tad noisy since it is very family friendly. As far as Storm Along Bay, I haven't been there in years, way to many kids (my kid is an adult) and way to noisy. I do love the two quiet pools and since they have hot tubs, I have no reason to go to the big pool. We don't spend as much time at MK as we do Epcot and HS so YC or any of the Epcot resorts are our go tos. Lately we tend to stay at Swan/Dolphin just because the WDW resorts are getting too pricy. We have only done CL at one resort (CR) and we didn't pay for that, it was an upgrade. Personally, I wouldn't pay for it but that is just us. The times we are in the resort, the food is either not out or has been picked over and for what the upgrade to CL costs, we can buy food in the parks or resorts and spend less.

I vote YC. Really enjoy the location, pool, theme & ease of transportation especially to Epcot. Just booked again for a June stay & trying club level (have done club at BC & hear have similar offerings). Don't think you'll regret YC, especially with Poly construction and added expense.

YC! Quick access to 2 parks and especially nice for F&W.

Epcot resorts are our favorite!

My vote is for YC! Epcot access is wonderful you can walk right into World showcase for food and wine. So much better than the Poly where you have to take the monorail that drops you off at the front of the park in Future World. For Epcot access there is nothing better than the Boardwalk resorts. Plus the pool is the best on property, and you don’t have to deal with a resort going thru a major construction project. And for $1000 less it’s a no brainer!
