I am down to three good neighbor hotels and I REALLY need your help.
Please give me your pick of the three and why. Thank you in advance.

FYI....It's only DH and I and we are going to celebrate my 50th birthday. :cheer2::cheer2:

Park Vue Inn
Carousel Inn
Candy Cane Inn

Well, I picked Park Vue for our upcoming trip because it fit all of my criteria, which may be a little different than yours because we are traveling with two young children. Free breakfast (beyond just danishes and coffee, with yogurt oatmeal, etc.), free parking, free wi-fi, right at the entrance to DL, and the room had a queen and a bunk bed instead of two queens. Hope that helps a little!

I have heard that people also really seem to like the CCI. Have you gone to TripAdvisor to read the reviews of each hotel, and see the pictures that people post? Sometimes that helps. Good luck deciding!

Full disclosure: I haven't stayed at any of your choices personally, so take my opinion with that in mind. ;)

I've heard good reports about Candy Cane Inn from friends and have always wanted to try it out though, so that would be my choice.

Why?
1. It's close enough to walk, but also has a reliable, dedicated to shuttle if you choose to catch a ride.
2. Most reports indicate clean, comfortable (if slightly small) rooms and a decent enough breakfast.

Good Luck with your decision

I stay at the Park Vue Inn several times a year. The main reason...Location, Location, Location! It's right across the street from the crosswalk to the park. I also enjoy their free extended breakfast...hot & cold cereal, waffles, toast, donuts, muffins fresh fruit and yogurt. The rooms aren't anything fancy but comfortable and include a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. They have a computer in the lobby you can use for free and the front desk will print your boarding pass if you're flying.

I've also stayed at the carousel Inn. It's comparable to the Park Vue but the breakfast isn't nearly as good, parking isn't free and it's farther from the crosswalk. They have a computer you can use but it's not free. They wouldn't print my boarding pass either, so I walked down to Park Vue Inn and they did it for me.

I haven't stayed at the Candy Cane Inn Inn but I've only heard good things about it. A little more of a walk to the park though.

I have not stayed at those particular hotels, but from what I have read on this site, and this thread, the Park Vue Inn sounds particularly nice, in comparison to the others listed. So for whatever it may be worth, that location has my vote.

Have a wonderful and awesome birthday, and vacation! Remember to ask for your birthday button while at Disneyland! Visit Jose and his friends, and those lovable although some what dirty band of rogue pirates that sail upon the blue bayou. And do pay a visit as well to the best mansion in the State of California, why that being of course the Haunted Mansion!

I would pick the Candy Cane Inn (although I've never stayed at the other 2). The reasons are:
- free breakfast
- free parking
- free shuttle
- within walking distance if you don't want to wait for shuttle
- nicely landscaped with plants, trees, pavers on the driveway/parking lot and a nice fountain out front.
- IMO, it's a nicer looking hotel than the other 2 (at least what i can tell from the outside) so i would rather stay there if I was celebrating since it seems a bit nicer to me

Good luck making a decision!
