Help Me Decide on a DL Hotel

We are going to DL in September for the 1/2 Marathon and I need advice on which DL Resort hotel to stay in. I have been to DL a few times, but I have never stayed on Property. It will be me, DH, DS (8), and DD (5).

For me it is the DLH all the way. I have stayed at the PPH, and it is a nice place, but in my opinion does not compare to the renovated DLH. As for the GCH, it is nice, no question, however I have stayed in similar looking hotels before in our travels, and it just does not do it for me when comes to staying there while in Disney. I can stay at a hotel like the GCH in Banff, and I have, and wonderfull as it is, not Disney enough for me.

Other's have their own perferances, and that is okay. I just much, much prefer the updated DLH. The grounds are fantastic, the rooms are very well put together and a nice size. In addition to the touches in each of the tower's lobby. It is the one for me, and our family agrees.

Others will disagree but I find it more Disney, but again that is just my opinion, but really the place is fantastic.

We have gone from the Harbor hotels to the resort hotels and will stay at the Grand everytime we visit if I can get the rental points. Can't pry the family away.
