Help Me Decide if Soarin' is worth it?

OP doesn't seem like you're interested in Epcot and if that's the case then I would not bother taking it in.

When are you going? If it's before the new TSL opens at HS, no way would I do two days there.
As for Epcot, it just depends. When we took our kids at just shy of 3 and 5, it was eh. The 5 year old loved Soarin and the 3 year old could have gone on Figment all day (help me!) but other than that it was totally eh. This time, at almost 9 and 11, the LOVED it. It was the 9 year old's favorite park, which I did NOT expect....but TT and Soarin were just the right amount of thrill for her. She loved it so much we added an extra park day on our departure day so we could go again. :) So...I really think it just depends on your party!

Figment, soar’n, cola place, Mexico Pavillion, test track, spaceship Earth, great concerts, all the countries and displays, shows and shopping. Food Kiosks, Epcot is Awesome!

We go to Epcot for F&G Festival mostly, but my favorite ride is Frozen. We also usually do Soarin', but do not enjoy it as much now as the first one. It is very subjective on which rides you will enjoy the most as we're all different! :)

If Epcot isn’t for you, that’s cool. It’s not my favorite park, but it has some stuff I like.

One thing you could do is walk to Epcot after your DHS day so long as you do it when Epcot is open until 11 for evening EMH for Soarin’ and Test Track.

Although, if you go on Flight of Passage first you may be left disappointed.

To me, Epcot seems like a bit of a dull when it comes to attractions. The main attractions seem to be Test Track, Soarin, Mission Space, Frozen, and Spaceship Earth. Out of them all, the only one we're really into is Soarin, but even Soarin' seems to be the kind of attraction that you 'just have to do' because it's a signature Epcot thing. I have one day where I'm trying to figure out which FPs I want to try to get. We're planning on doing a late start that day and then probably hitting up a waterpark late morning. We're very flexible but have a Trattorio Al Forno rsvp at 5:15. We currently have two FP days at AK, HS, and one at MK, and I'm considering ditching the EP FP day and making it a MK FP day if we're just going for Soarin. Any thoughts?

Well you don't pay any extra to go on it do you? Then it will be worth more than every extra penny you paid. :) If you get a chance to go, go. If not, it sounds to me like you're not all that much into Soarin. But to be honest with you, if you don't really want to do EP much because you are incredibly pinched for time, I probably would not even go over there to eat. We have done a water park, soarin, and eat over there then stay at illuminations. We found it worth. But the kicker is we weren't pinched for time in the least. Again if you are, your mileage will vary on that one. And ours would too.

We're going during the second half of August.

It's not that we don't enjoy Epcot, because we do enjoy the atmosphere, but based on our 'thrill' ride preferences, we're very cautious about how we plan out our FPs for maximum time with those rides.

Last time we were there (all of us) was Nov 2016. Has the Soarin movie changed since? I haven't heard so.

If you go to Epcot near closing time or during evening EMH, a Fast Pass isn’t really necessary. It’s the same from your last time.

Great thanks! I think that we might just maliciously search for a day of FP for Soarin!
You guys rock for helping me with this!

Soarin is one of my faves! Its also a classic! I wouldn't do Epcot without doing Soarin! I adore it! I never stand in line more than 30 min for it.

Depending on where you are coming from, and how much you enjoy walking, it might not be worth it if you are literally going to walk to and from Soarin' and will enjoy nothing else in the park. We did this for Frozen Ever After because we had never ridden it. So we walked from the Boardwalk to the ride and back, before realizing that we had just walked about 1.5 miles each way for one ride. Soarin' is a little closer to the Boardwalk at about 1.0 mile each way. It just added unnecessary steps to feet that were already tired from walking everywhere.

If you decide to go to a water park in the morning, and keep your dinner at Broadwalk, then you could get an FP for Soarin'. Dont' know if it's worth it to use a park tkt. I've read where you can get 1 Fp at 1 park, and then next FP at another park. I don't understand it, but I think it's located here.

I liked the original Soarin' but the new one holds a special place in my heart now. When we went to DL 2 years ago, we took my the 6 year old Autistic son on it. He takes things very literally, won't do characters, doesn't believe in Disney Magic. After we got off Soarin', he was wondering how we went to all those places around the world.
