Help me decide if I would enjoy a Disney Water Park

Hi Everyone,
I have an annual pass that includes the water parks. I have never been to a Disney water park. I don't like stomach-wrenching drops. I liked the lazy river at Aulani. I am a shy-type pooh size woman.

I will be traveling alone in early September, staying at Old Key West. I was thinking of trying a water park since it is free to me. Any advice as to which one might suit me better? I will definitely not be doing Summit Plummet!

I don't like drops either. But I love the waterparks - wave pools, lazy river, and slides that use tubes.....(no body slides for me thanks).

Love the TL wave pool.

I think TL would be best for you, but stay away from Humunga Kowabunga hence it has a 5 story drop.

Definitely try it! I recommend typhoon lagoon, I don't do thrills but I love floating down the lazy river. The wave pool is great too. Go all the way to the right side, waves are calmer and fun. We like to sit in chairs along the edge and get splashed by the waves. You don't need to do slides to enjoy the water parks.

Yes, definitely go. You won't go wrong at either one, but I'd actually recommend BB. The lazy river is really nice, you'd enjoy it. The wave pool is also much less intense than the one at TL. It has some more mild slides, and also has a ski like chair lift to get you to the top if you want (it's fun, but the line can be long).

Fwiw, TL wave pool can be very intense, best to go far into it or you will get scraped along the bottom and could end up with TL badge of honor, lol. BB wave pool is very relaxing. Both lazy rivers are great, only difference I can remember is the water that they have every so often spraying into it can be quite chilly. Just go with your gut and pick whichever them appeals to you. They are definitely worth the time. Our water park day usually ends up being one of our most relaxing days Oh also if you go to TL and decide to try the snorkeling be advised that the chemicals they use to sterilize the face equipment is pretty intense. We tried it a couple years ago and the mask burned my sons face so bad he couldn't make it past the shower they have in the line. We had to have him stand under it for several minutes until some of the burning died down. Haven't tried it since maybe not as bad now, but worth mentioning. Have fun!

I think go to BB for the wave pool and lazy river. Look at the slides at the bottom to see if you are brave enough for any of them. You only need to spend a half day or a few hours to have fun then get out of the sun. Lock up your valuables in a locker if you are alone!
