Help me decide for anniversary trip

I want to make a room only reservation for AKL concierge in dec 2005! It's our tenth anniversary and it's my dream to do AKL concierge. My problem is this - actually I have two probelms:crazy:
1. I feel guilty about not bringing our girls. Would it be okay to bring them and just use babysitting? I don't think it would cost more for the room, just park tix.
2. Our anniversary is actually the 30th of December. There is NO WAY even with 18 months to save, that we could pay for a four or five night stay concierge during the most expensive time of the year AND buy park tickets!

So my options are to either go early Dec and take the girls out of school a few days (kindergarten and 2nd grade) - Go during the expensive time (hope, pray for some type of discount) on our actual anniversary for a couple nights AKL without the girls.

Do you see an option that I don't see? My DH will let me plan whatever I want. He'll even work extra to help pay for it, but I can't be unrealistic. Wouldn't that be horrid if I had to CANCEL anniversary reservations because we ended up without enough money:earseek: :earseek:

I know it's far in advance, but I think I need to know how much to save so we have a goal. Saving works better for us if goals are set.
Thanks.

Hi:sunny:

Oh the decisions! IMHO, the end of December is unbearable! It is sooo busy! We are now planning our Dec trip for the first week which is supposed to be a really good time to go.

As for the kids, it's your call. Now that my kids have been so many times, I wouldn't feel guilty but when they were much younger, I probably would feel guilty. I am sure the babysitting option would be fine- it's all in what you and your hubby want!

You have plenty of time to stock up money wise. I am slowly saving and when I have enough, I go to the Disney store and purchase a park pass so when the time comes, I will have them all and not be in a panic!

Good luck with your decisions- it sounds magical!

I'd also go earlier in Dec. and bring your girls;)
The crowds will be better as well as prices and you won't have to feel guilty that way.

HTH's. Best of luck with your decision:wave:

We're going for our 12th anniversary and bringing our kids. My dm is coming along to help with the kids and she is paying her own way:D Is that an option for you? I won't have to worry about stangers taking care of my kids and no added expense to our trip.
