My DH and I are planning a trip to WDW in mid-September. We've been trying to decide where to dine each night. So far, here are the places we're seriously considering. If anyone has any suggestions about changing or adding other restaurants, please let me know before it is time to make my ressies in March.

Captain's Grille
Citrico's
50's Prime Time
Kona
Liberty Tree Tavern
"Ohana
Via Napoli

Let me just add that we've been to Biergarten and California Grill and Chefs de France many times and have decided to branch out to other places. We've also considered Flying Fish instead of Citrico's (never been to either) and have considered Rose and Crown also. Thoughts?

Thanks!

You should actually post on the Restaurant boards, but I would also look at their menus.

Restaurant food is like weather - people ask constantly, do you think I can wear shorts in Florida in February. It is all a matter of choice.

Same thing with food. How do we know what you like - you never even told us that kind of food you were used to - if you are used to going to Applebee's and Ruby Tuesday's, then you are in for a treat. If you go to restaurants that are family owned and based around their culture, you are going to be sadly disappointed.

just curious why Prime Time, food just supposed to be so-so, all other choices seem pretty good

I really, really want to try Flying Fish so I think you should go with your gut on that one. :thumbsup2 I think they all look good, but like PP, I quest your 50's Prime Time choice.

just ate at prime time last week and was not impressed at all with the food. chefs de france was great--we had lunch there on friday.

Thanks for the replies....and 50's because that's one of DH's choices. We've never been and he thinks it sounds fun. I'd love to hear from anyone who's eaten at both Citrico's and Flying Fish....which is preferable and why?

Captain's Grille -ate here twice last year since we stayed at BCV, had great meals both times

Citrico's Never -ate here yet, was on out list for this year, but afraid my youngest don't find anything he likes

50's Prime Time - We never had a bad meal here, the atmosphere is fun but the food is nothing special, still a good time

Kona - Never ate here yet

Liberty Tree Tavern - lunch or dinner? We are eating here for lunch this year for the first time in years

"Ohana - another one my son loves and have it on the list for him, I don't care either way if we go or don't

Via Napoli - new to us this year as well

We ate at FF last year and loved it the service was great, the resturant was not crowded at all and the food was wonderful, a must do for us again this year, my DD loves the pear tea

My children only asked that we do FF, Biergarten and Chefs de France again this year they are their favorites, we are added a few other favorites and a few new ones this year, our second year of DxDDP.

Enjoy where ever you decicde to go you will get misxed reviews on here and asked why would you pick that or this you do what is best for you and where you want to go!

Just putting in my 2 cents worth... FWIW... IMHO !! LOL

We ate at Prime Time my last visit in May 2010...

I had SOmany folks tell me to try it... and to "GET the Pot Roast"...

OMG... it melted in my mouth... SO so good... I actually enjoyed it more than my meal later that day at HBD !

(I am in the minority... I know )

So agree with PP's... it's all a matter of individual taste... mixed in with what you were expecting and how hungry you are LOL

Enjoy !
Mary
