Which hotel should we pick? BW is 25.00 cheaper per night. Is Park Vue better?

I just got back from a 4 night stay at the Park Vue and would not hesitate to stay there again. Location wise, they are the same. The breakfast at PVI was good with daily hot options. The room was quiet and updated.
If you haven't factored it in already, BWPPI charges $10 for parking so difference may be $15.

I'd go with cheaper. They're fairly comparable and both have nearly the same walk to the parks. I've read that PVI is not offering free breakfast during construction but not sure when that is :)

the BWPPI is renovating its breakfast area within the next few months so their breakfast offering is a "to go" type deal.. I would check their website for specific dates on this. I have never stayed at Park Vue so I can't comment but the location of both is fantastic!

BWP Park Place Inn. I think it a nicer facility than the Park Vue. Park Vue used good reviews that were partly based on the value to push their rates way up without adding anything new.

Just checked availability and BWPPI is only available first four of five nights. We could switch over to park Vue for last night. Worth it or too much hassle? Might have to go with Park Vue for entire stay.

I'm planning a first time stay at Park Vue Inn next month. I just called the them to ask about no free breakfast during construction, and they knew nothing about this. They said there is no construction going on now or at anytime in the future that they are aware of.

Sorry! I read that on a thread and I'm guessing they mixed up the two properties. Sounds like BWPPI is the one with construction.

Because you called the wrong hotel. It is the Park Place Inn doing the construction :)

I would find that to be a hassle, personally. I haven't stayed at either hotel yet, but from what I've read, the beds at BWPPI are more firm, if that makes any difference to you. I have a stay scheduled for PVI later this month.

Someone had asked about Carousel Inn and I asked if they'd considered PVI. This was the response:
Park Vue does not have breakfast when we are going due to construction. Plus it was the same price, if not more. Right now we are traveling with my parents and let's just say my mom is kinda picky. An old school place would not go over well with her. We either need to be RIGHT across from the park or a mile or so and we will drive to the parks. Walking 1/2 mi to the parks will not fly. We do not need a nice pool or anything as we won't use it. Plus around $150 including taxes, fees, and parking. A very tall order!

I am open to any suggestions, though! It seems like I have looked at every hotel under the sun, but I am willing to go back and double check some again!
I didn't check since it doesn't affect me. Sorry for passing along the wrong info.

Not a problem. I had read that as well, and had been meaning to check into this further since it would affect our stay.

I would probably go for the Park Vue just to avoid having to pack up to move next door the day before you leave. It's bad enough packing up once, right?! We stayed at the Best Western Park Place Inn on our last trip because we got a great rate and it was so close, but nothing at all about the place inspired me to make it OUR Anaheim hotel. I tthought that everything was clean and the staff was great, but the free breakfast was super crowded and same with the pool and hot tub. I would try Park Vue, and it is on my radar for future stays if I can get a good price.

We stayed @ PVI in April and thought it was great! The rooms were clean, quiet and seemed updated. The breakfast was nice and no parking fee was a plus.

We stayed a few times at BWPPI and liked it. However, recently we've been staying at PVI instead and found it to be just as good. The biggest difference for us is that PVI has rooms with bunk beds. Our two kids are pretty restless sleepers so they have trouble sleeping in the same bed. Also, they think sleeping in a bunk bed is pretty fun!

I haven't stayed at the PVI yet, but stayed at BWPPI over Easter and was not impressed. The room was cleanish, but kind of grungy looking. The location of our room was terrible, as I had a scooter and they place us in a room on the third floor across from a stairwell. It was interesting getting the scooter out of the room without going down the stairs. Then there was the day that they parked the housekeeping cart across our doorway, so my daughter had to move it so we could exit the room.

They are also quite snarky with the parking. I couldn't believe what we went through just to exit the parking lot. It took us about 20 minutes to get out. We had permission to stay past checkout time, but when we tried to leave it was like they didn't know what to do. Their machine kept trying to charge us $75 dollars. Someone finally pressed the button and let us out.

Breakfast: we tried it one day and refused to go back again. In our opinion, it was terrible.

Thanks for all the replies. I just bought the Unofficial Guide to Disneyland 2015 and it only rated PVI as 2.5 stars, but most of the reviews I found online were positive. Wonder if they have updated since the book was written?

We spent 5 days at pvi in Feb, in one of the recently remodeled rooms with bunk beds. I didn't like that the ac unit was right next to the bunk beds as my kids are only 2 and 4. The room was okay, I felt it was a little small but the carpet was terribly dirty! We had to have shoes on at all times as my kids feet turned black from the carpet within minutes. Hot breakfast was good but not sure we will go back. Carrousel Inn so far has been a favorite, but we like the concierge club rooms. They are so far in the back of the property you have to add walking time to the park, especially pushing a double stroller... Obviously the location of pvi is a plus. We have been wanting to try bwppi but it has been booked. Have a great trip either way!

Justdelms- are all the carousel inn concierge rooms way in back? Are they worth the extra walk? That is what we reserved, but I am wondering if we should switch to regular rooms for a shorter walk.....
