Trying to decide where to stay for next year's trip. It will be just my wife and I so we'll be in a studio. We've stayed in the regular resort rooms at both resorts before but never DVC. We love Stormslong Bay and Beaches n Cream at BC but also love BLT location and the monorail. I don't what to do :confused3 any help or opinions would be much appreciated. Thanks

The studio at BLT is smaller, although okay for 2 adults IMHO. I think both have terrific locations. I guess it might come down to which park you'll visit most often and the eateries (resort and otherwise) are most appealing to you. Sounds like you won't have a car. Do you enjoy the amenities over at BCV like proximity to the Boardwalk and maybe the Dolphin/Swan and of course, "backdoor" access to Epcot? Or would you most enjoy having easy access to the Poly and GF?

I really think you'd be fine with either one. :thumbsup2

Since you are a DVC member and have years to stay at all of the resorts, pick one and stay at the other some other time.

Both are great but I am partial to BLT! I might be in minortiy because everyone is crazy over BCV!! Good news is that you can't make a wrong decision!

Why not a BCV/BLT split stay?

That's the exact split stay we are going to do next year. This way, while at BCV, we have the convenience of walking to both Epcot & HS. While at BLT, we can walk to MK.

We do a BCV split stay every summer with either AKV or BLT.

I think a split stay might be a bit much we're only going for 6 nights. Since both resorts have great locations and great amenities I think it might come down to which has the better room.

Although I like BVC better, I like the separate kitchenette BLT much more. For adults, nothing beats being able to walk to Epcot.

how about trying BWV if you are planning on spending time at EPCOT? it is quieter and has more adult options/activities than BCV (we own at both BCV and BWV), and is lovely just to stroll around. EPCOT, DHS, and beaches and cream are all just a walk away.
it appears you haven't stayed at the BWI, so it would be fun just to try something new IMHO :)

enjoy your decision!

I would think about what you plan would like to do on the trip and pick the resort based on that.

If spending most of your time at Epcot and DHS, I would go with BCV.
If spending most of your time at MK and eating at monorail/WL area restaurants, I would pick BLT.

For example, next week we head to BLT for a family trip where we will visit some monorail and WL restaurants plus spend time at MK with a couple great nephews. In September, DW and I are staying at BCV. We plan to visit the Epcot restaurants and spend more time in that area. In the next couple years, I hope to convince DW to stay at AKV because it's my favorite "escape" resort when spending less time at the parks.
