So my daughter and I are going to DL. She is 5 by the way only 42 inches. I am thinking the first day we will go do CA but will she get bored early there and should I buy park hoppers and take her DL the rest of the night. BTW CA closes at 6 the first night we are there. Then the second day spend the whole day at DL. How would you plan a two day trip with a 5 year old. I would love any suggestions.....

I had the same dilema. We were going to originally get there midday, and just buy the TOT tickets and do DCA at night for those 4 hours. Figured that would be enough, then just do the 1 day ticket to DL.

But, the more I got planning, the more I wanted to do. We're doing 3 day park hoppers now :rotfl:

If you've only got 2 days, the hoppers are nice since DCA closes so early. Even if you leave the parks for dinner, take a nice break, then go back around 8, you can still see Fantasmic, fireworks and ride the DL rides at night, which I !!

No matter what you choose, you'll have a blast!! Enjoy :cheer2:

Anything over a one-day ticket is automatically a hopper. So there's no dilemma. :)

Oh wait, I see...one day one park is 62/72, 2 day ticket is 131/151. I see.

Honestly, my family enjoys DCA so very very much. DS can go on Grizzly (42") 5 times in a row (he says he wants to go 10 times now), he LOVES bug's land, etc etc. And that's before you think about TSMM's sheer awesomeness. :) He doesn't get bored there...and we love being able to just hop over for some time, or hop back to DL for Star Tours or Buzz on our DCA-focused days.

I'd do the hoppers...

There are two day non-hoppers? Anyhoo, DD4 is 42" and she could do all of DCA except CA Screamin' and Mailiboomer. It is a lot of fun over there too. I say get the PH.

My kids are 5, 8, 10 and I don't think I could spend a whole day at CA.

The only things we care to see there are,

Monster inc
Aladin
Sorin
Grizzly
And a few rides in the bugs land.

Nope. Park hopping should be included in EVERY single trip 2 or more days. :thumbsup2

the good thing is you do not have to "spend" the whole day there, put hop for a few hours every day.

To your list I would add the entire line -up of the animation building (easily a couple hours)

the Redwood creek challenge, Mullholand madness, the zephyrs, the ballon drop, Mickey's midway, the carousel.....so much for a 5 yo.

And Toy Story Midway Mania of course. Multiple times. :)
