Ok so my parents surprised us saying they were taking my family and my sisters family to WDW for our christmas this year.

We originally thought we would go next feb.....but we are now thinking of bumping it up to either the either Oct 31-Nov 7...the first week of value season and we could do MNSSHP on the 31st, OR Nov.28- Dec 4th OR Dec 5-12 and do MVMCP.

SO, I have read on WDWIG.com that from the week after thanksgiving to mid decemeber is the SLOWEST time of year. BUT after looking at the 22 page thread of who is going in Dec., I have to wonder.

So which week would be the least crowded do you think??? There will be 11 of us total, so the less "other" people we have to deal with the better, LOL!!!

On a side note we have done MNSSHP party before (and loved it), but not MVMCP.

Thanks for you help!

It depends on if you're planning on swimming or not and how much you like the warmer weather. I've been there, both times, and the weather in the first week of November was perfect...highs in the high 80s...wore shorts and tshirts the whole time. Last year, we went the first week in December. Temps were mostly in the 70s, with one day warm enough for shorts. If that doesn't matter to you guys, then I would go in December....the Christmas decorations at the resorts and parks are great! The crowds were about the same, both months. As you can see, we're going again the first week in November this year, but I'm already thinking about going the first week in December, next year! :D

I would say either the end of October/early November or early December would be best.

I have always wanted to got these times, but just can't do it with DH's job. Maybe someday, though.

I have read tons of threads on early December being a wonderful time to visit - low crowds, but it is festive and you would have MVMCP.

MNSSHP from what I have read will be a sell out, which may make it a bit busier - but again, I have never gone, so even a sell out might not matter.

I still vote for end of October or early December - but lean more toward December.

Thanks guys. I do love to swim, but it is not THAT important...I am more interested in less crowds for this trip.

Anyone else have an thougthts?

I would suggest Dec 5-12. Not only will you have less crowds, but, the parks will be decked out for Christmas!!
