we got a great deal on a friends timeshare in vistana for $ 379 for 7 days!!! airfare is only 200 rt..and we have a friend that works in the parks who can get us great discount tkts..so whats the problem? convincing the hubby. would like to plan for oct..nice weather, low crowds, dont know what else to do to convince him...by the way-we have the $. any suggestions? oh and did i mention my parents will be coming and will be paying for our kids airfare and character meals while we're there!!!

Is it that he doesn't want to go or doesn't want to spend the money? If he doesn't want to go - go without him. My DH hates amusement parks, lines, the heat (unless we're in the Carribean somewhere), tourist areas, etc. When we go to FL he stays home and will usually take some type of a kayaking/camping/fishing trip with his buddies (definitely not my idea of a good time). We've found this works well for everyone. If he doesn't want to spend the money try making a spreadsheet showing all the budgeted costs and where the money is coming from. Maybe plan a garage sale for extra money or sell some things you aren't using on ebay.

Good ideas! My parents never figured that out. They always drag each other to what the one wants to do- thus making everyone miserable! :lmao: My husband and I are lucky that we love to do the same types of things...and generally want to make each other happy anyways- that always helps in convincing

well he's little bit of both..but the time when we're going i think we'll be ok with line and weaather issues..but its the $ for sure. he works 60 hrs a week w/one day off and im trying to show him how we need that week to all bond. he's going along now reluctantly but i plan i doing a spreadsheet. speaking of spreadsheets, would anyone have for the parks that i could copy? i m a stay at home mom w/3 year old twins and cant even get time to shower let alone make a spreadsheet...:sad2: thanks.

wow, $379 for 7 days. Congrats, I just paid $600. If you don't mind, where'd you get the great deal?

As for your problem, my advice is try to convince DH that the look of wonderment in your kids eyes when they see Mickey is a priceless experience of which he shouldn't deprive himself.
