Help me compare a couple summer weeks

Trying to plan a four or five day visit this summer, and having a hard time juggling everyone's schedule. Right now our possible weeks look like the week of June 14th, August 3, or August 10. Touring plans (which I know is notoriously inaccurate) predicts 6-8 the first week and the second and 5-8 the third. (I'm particularly skeptical of them right now as they are predicting only a 6 on the 4th and a 7th on the 60th anniversary and I know those can't be accurate). Any thoughts on when we'd be most likely to encounter the smallest crowds?

A fourth option is the week of July 19th-I'm interested because there are Youth Education Classes that weekend and we could take advantage of the class and the cheap tickets, but my guess is that week will be insane, coming right after the anniversary.

Help!

I've been tracking some of the events and school breaks that may affect crowds at DLR in this thread:

I agree that July 19th is likely to still be very busy in the parks because of residual crowds from the 60th anniversary weekend and because it's during the height of summer vacation season. My guess is that the week associated with August 10th may also be busy because of the D23 Expo at the end of the week (Aug 14-16). I would think some participants would come early to spend some time in the parks and see the new 60th shows and offerings. The week associated with June 14th does still have some Grad Nights (17th and 19th). Nothing really jumps out at me about August 3rd, but it's still during the height of summer, so I would expect crowds.

I'm thinking all 3 will be crowded. We personally chose August 3 for our big summer trip because the next week I go back to work (I'm a teacher). Crowds might be a little smaller the second week in August add more people get ready to go back to school, but as was mentioned above, then you have D23.

June will be the least busy week with the most tolerable weather, but you will have grad kids. Not a huge big deal, but the nights might be busier.

They tend to close the parks down super early for the grads, plus the grads get tickets to the parks all day, so I wouldn't pick June. I'd go with the last week you picked in August since many of the ca schools will already be back in session. Yes, it will most likely be hotter, but it's summer, last August I still needed a sweater there in the evening.

Whoa! Just took a close look at those grad nights. We definitely don't want to be there the week if June 10th! Thanks!

This is not correct. At least not in recent years. They do NOT close the parks early for Grad Nites. They allow the Grads to park hop during the day and then head to DCA for their after hours party. DL and DCA will still close at the same time those nights. The Grad Nites we had last year did make the parks busier in the evenings but I would not be afraid to go again during that time. But given that you have option to go later in the summer, I would probably pick August. It will most likely be hotter.

Sorry for the bad info, I was only going off my experience the last couple of may & June visits.
