Thank you so much for all your responses! BWI, Riviera, do not have rooms available for our stay. Maybe thinking of trying Pop for the skyliner, then uber to and from MK and AK, without the deluxe after hours I could purchase an after hours event with the savings and still come out ok. hmmmmmmm

I like your thinking here. After hour events are pretty fabulous and if you book Pop vs a deluxe, the price differential should make that an easy swap. I actually think bus transportation to MK is still best from Pop, but rideshare to AK is quick.

Really? that is hopeful!! I am wondering what it’s like getting back to pop after an after hours at MK? thinking with limited tickets it could actually be lighter crowds than a usual park close.
I have never stayed pop and I had always heard busses can be quite crowded. Is that not the case?
This will be February but even so i’m not sure low crowds ever exist anymore

Because of the lower attendance at a paid after hours event, the buses won't be nearly as crowded as at normal park close, especially since not everyone will stay until the very end. We'd use the buses for sure.

OP, I like your Pop idea, but want to mention that if you Uber from Pop to MK, you'll end up at the TTC, not at the bus stop area, so it's actually better to take the bus to MK unless you like riding the ferry or monorail. But in the morning at the TTC, it can be quite the crowd.

Don't count out Swolphin. They count as deluxe for after hours and have just as good or better location. You can also book refundable rates.

At least price it out on Marriott.

It's way, way too late to rent points, unless you can find a confirmed reservation.

Thank you for all your help! at this point I've decided on Pop for 4 nights in a preferred room. potentially will look last minute for any DVC at BWI or Riviera. Though now that I am booked I am getting used to the idea of Pop. We will have a chance to try the skyliner. Would still like to try the after hours events but at this point the remaining availability at the deluxe resorts is a bit over what I want to spend. I will consider paying for an after hours event with the savings I get from staying at Pop. Thank you to those who commented. happy planning

Oh definitely a good option!! except each time I search is says no rooms available. maybe I will check out the marriot site
