OK, so just about ready to book for next year. DH doesn't want to stay on-site and be immersed in 'Disney Magic' 24/7.

So, after some extensive research, I have 2 possible options:

Package with Airtours - staying at Renaissance Orlando, Sea World

(Prestige holiday so get extra baggage allowance, pre-bookable seats. Only down side, as far as I can see, is flying in/out of Sanford, no Twilight or DTD Check-In)

Package with VH - staying at Quality Inn International

(Down side - no transport provided to WDW so would need a car or pay approx $13 each return for each visit)

There is very little difference in price between the 2 (£50 at most) - the Renaissance is 5A and the QII is 3V.

My instincts

So, which would you choose - and why?

Thanks
Joh

Hiya

I would choose the quality inn international, I have stayed here a couple of times and its a really nice hotel, with clean rooms and nice size pool. its situated
just right for all the parks and for shopping on the drive.

My dbf also isnt keen on disney 24/7, we are staying at disney this year but next year he has won and we will be at a villa

hope this helps

I know that my OH would opt for the Renaissance at Sea World but only because its a good star hotel and he loves Sea World so he could just pop in and out so to speak. You have to consider that it is way down the I Drive which could be a plus or a minus depending on your needs. :goodvibes

Hi Joh

If it were me, I would chose the Airtours package (although I too would miss Twilight check-in etc). We have flown into Sanford a few times and it isn't too much of a big deal for us. Staying near SeaWorld is quite central on I-Drive, I think I would feel too far away at the top end of I-Drive at the QII (unless I'm mistaken in its location)

Have fun planning

Well, I've just phoned MyTravel and they've further reduced it (if I book within 24 hours) so I'm gonna go for it. I have stayed at the QII before and, nice though it was, the idea of styaing in 5A accommodation, with the benefits offered with the Prestige package, have sold it for me.

Only £148 deposit required as well!!! Bargain.

Thanks for the advice.

Joh

Definitely the Renaissance and I am glad you have booked it. You will have a fantastic time with your daughters.

Sanford isn't a problem. We have flown to both Orlando and Sanford though Orlando is closer you do have that double luggage pick up/drop off which takes time. At Sanford you are just straight through to Immigration, pick cases up, through customs then straight to the car pick up.

I wpuld have said Renassiance as well, better hotel. Also, flying into Sanford may be furter out, but you do tend to clear customers and immigration more quickly and a simple luggage collection system.
