We are getting the dining plan. It will be my parents, DH, DS8, DD6, and DS2 who will be on this trip. We will have to do 7 TS meals. THis is what I have for sure that we want to do.
Chef Mickey's (1st night-tradition)
Garden Grill
1900 Park Fare
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Crystal Palace

Now help me choose 2 more from this list...any reviews would be great!
50's Prime TIme Cafe
Sci Fi Restaurant
TOny's Town Square
Whisperring Lodge
Thanks for your help...everyone on this board is SO helpful!

Here's my 2 cents worth...

I'd do Sci-Fi, the amotsphere is incredible and we all loved the food here! When we last were at Disney, all of us agreed it was one of our favorite meals.

We also love 50's PT. Again, the amotsphere is so cool and the food is very good. We split the onion rings which were excellent and then I had the chicken sandwich and DH had the meatloaf. Very good. The hot fudge sundae was delicious too!

Whispering Canyon, I'll never eat there again. We've been twice for dinner and it's so gross. We ordered the skillet and it was just greasy and nasty. I couldn't stomach and my DH who eats anything couldn't eat it either. We won't return.

Tony's Town Square is a place I want to try, we've never been yet. I've heard good things about it though!

So, I'd go with Sci-Fi for sure, then 50's PT or Tony's. :goodvibes

Sci Fi was great fun for us. My parents and my DD who was 9 at the time loved the atmosphere, and the style of food. The shakes were to die for, and the onion rings were delish. DD and I both had burgers which were very good.

Tony's is tradition for us. I know it gets a bad rap sometimes, but I think people all have different taste preferences. If you like a simple "Italian" place with a cozy, friendly atmosphere, then I'd say go for it! I personally enjoy the food there as does my entire family (hence the tradition!). Never been to the other two, although I'd love to try 50's Prime Time next year! Enjoy!:goodvibes

I will vouch for Sci Fi Dine In Theatre. It's the coolest place. Reminiscent of a outdoor movie theatre, you sit in cars and watch old shorts. My children loved it when they were younger, and we are heading back this Sunday and guess what? We are going back even though they are 20 and 22 ! Their choice! :thumbsup2The sky is starlit too. Not the very best food, but you can't go wrong with burgers and shakes and the coolest atmosphere in DHS. That's my take on it.
Never ate at 50's Prime Time yet but maybe one day!! Have a blast!:rotfl:

Sci-Fi :thumbsup2 But, go for lunch. The atmosphere is much more dramatic when you walk in from bright sunshine to a drive-in movie at night. :goodvibes

Whispering Canyon and the Sci Fi.
50s has ok food and the rest depens on your server.

You list looks almost exactly like mine! We have all those charector places and we picked Le Cellier and Boma (must do) for our additional 2. For your picks I would go wi 50's prime time and Sci Fi. PT has great food and atmosphere and is really fun. Sci Fi does not have the best food but the atmosphere is really what you are paying for.

We did not have good experience at Tony's and will never return. It currently is the only TS place we will not go back to. Cold food, poor and slow service, dining room was crowded and extremely loud, and we had to wait over an hour for our table w/ an ADR during non FREE dining time and before dining plan became popular.

Whispering canyon is just ok. It's not great but its not bad. The lodge is beautiful and the kids get a kick out of the loud and fun staff but the food won't blow your mind.

Sci fi is good...we had the angus burger and shrimp pasta...artichoke dip....al was good...we went at dinner so it was dark but it was cool...we sat in the backseat of a car, another couple was in front with their daughter in the 1st row...they didn't bother us and it was really fun..

I had to cancel my Tony ressie due to switching MK days :( ....I'm dyin to eat there...

I was just curious..have you ate at Garden Grill before? I'm not a real picky eater...but I didn't like the restaurant itself..although it did rotate and the characters looked cute in their get ups...but the food was alright...the fish was not...the steak was the better of the 3 options..I had two plates of it...but it just wasnt my favorite..but again take my opinion with a grain of salt because maybe I just went on an off night...

of course you pay for the character interaction and Chip and Dale are awesome!

I would choose Tony's and Sci-Fi. Both places have good food, plus the atmosphere in both places is spectacular! Definitely try both if you haven't yet... these are two of our favorites!

:banana:I agree with Stitch. This time, we are eating at Both Tony's and Sci Fi!!
My kids are now big kids (20 and 22) but we STILL love Sci Fi So much!;)
