This is soo exciting, Mom agreed to go to WDW with me for a week and she is a very adventurous diner, me - not so much. For now we thought the food court at Riverside Port Orleans for our first night's dinner and see Ye Ha Bob's show, Tusker House lunch, California Grill dinner, Liberty Tree Tavern lunch, O'Hana dinner, Backlot express lunch, Boma dinner, Sunshine Seasons lunch, Biergarten dinner, Whispering Canyon Cafe lunch, Kouzzina dinner, Via Napoli lunch, Raglan Road or Flying Fish dinner. We'll be staying on property and using the buses. Kona Cafe breakfast departure day. Other than a Dole Whip are there any "must have' snacks or desserts we should try?

Very nice selection of ADRs:thumbsup2

For a combo dessert/snack: just about anything at the boulangerie/patisserie in France in Epcot.

Don't forget to try the Zebra Domes at Boma, the Bread Pudding at Ohana, the Apfel Strudeln at Biergarten, and Raglan Roads Bread and Butter Pudding.

Sounds like a good lineup!

The backlot express is just fine, but also consider Starring Rolls Cafe while at DHS. They are known for awesome cupcakes! Look around here for pics.

Thanks! I've never eaten at any of those except Boma so I was hoping I had decent choices. It won't let me get ADR's yet, but watching the calander for my window. We will def do Boulangerie patisserie, I think we'll have to share a Napolean (never had one yet) and I heard the bread and cheese was a good snack too for us to share. We have 2 days unplanned so still need ideas for another couple of sit downs and a couple of counter service meals.

I would skip Backlot for your lunch and instead make an ADR for 50's PTC. Most of the lunch dishes are not much more expensive than a CS meal, the food is good (split the s'mores and a shake for dessert :thumbsup2) and I am sure your mom will love the atmosphere. Also, I would choose Flying Fish for your dinner on the Boardwalk and skip Kouzzina all-together. FF is by far and away the best restaurant on your list, while, IMO, Kouzzina is one of the worst.

Where do you plan on spending the other 2 days that you don't have planned yet? Are you more open to the idea of relaxing signatures, being in the parks or is that something that isn't important?

Both France and Norway in EPCOT have bakeries with yummy pastries and treats!

Mom and I have 2 days each planned for EP and MK and 1 day each for AK and MGM. We are staying 7 nights for sure but I am shooting for 8 if Mom will agree. I am thinking 5 nights in a moderate and the first or last 2 at AKL and taking a day out doing the tour there and hearing the storytellers and viewing the animals via night vision. Thanks for the info on Kouzzina I was torn between Flying Fish and it. I am not a fish or seafood eater, but almost everywhere offers a steak or chicken dish or just a nice salad, so I can dine about anywhere mom wants. 50's PT sounds like great fun too, I think I will schedule that one just for fun. Thanks. I think we are going to take the keys to the kingdom tour at MK, only I am just not certain as mom has mobility issues after having back surgery last year and she moves slowly and I don't know if we can keep up with a group?

When you say you want to stay at AKL, are you planning on staying in a "regular" room or Club Level? The Sunrise Safari is only available to CL guests (admission into AK is required). The Wanyama Safari is available for all guests and includes a multi-course meal at Jiko. If you don't plan on spending the money on the Wanyama (and it is pretty expensive at about $190 per person) I would still suggest dinner at Jiko while you are at AKL.

I haven't tried the steak at FF since I LOVE my seafood, but I have read some really good things about it.

On our KttK tour, I felt that there was a decent amount of break time. We took the tour that began before the park opened, sat off of MSUSA and watched everyone run down MSUSA after RD, then we stopped and sat again in Adventureland, had a bathroom break, then about an hour or so later we had lunch (we also went on HM in that time). In no way did I feel like we ran from one area to another, the tour moved at a good pace. A lot will depend on the guide though. We have also done the Backstage Safari at AK which was really good and included a good amount of sitting.

You've made good choices. I'm not a fish eater, but I had a wonderful steak at the Flying Fish. We also ate at Kouzzina with a party of 6, and everyone enjoyed it. That might be a good place for an adventurous eater.
