We are heading to Disney World for spring break and we want to go to Cinderella's Royal Table this trip. We've been to Disney World many times but have never eaten there. We thought we would try it for Easter Sunday. We have also eaten at 1900 Park Fare for Easter brunch before and really enjoyed it. So our plan was to eat brunch at 1900 Park Fare and then head into the park for the afternoon and then eat dinner at CRT. Well...we couldn't get either of those reservations at the 180 day mark. Instead, I was able to get CRT for brunch. I also got Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner (which we've eaten at before and loved). We were happy with this option as our main reason for wanting to try CRT was to see the castle. Brunch is cheaper and would allow us to still see the castle.

In the meantime, I was able to snag CRT for dinner (but a little later than our normal at 7:00) and 1900 Park Fare for brunch! Now I'm torn on what to do. What would you do? Here are our 2 options (prices are estimates including tax and gratuity):

10:05 CRT $340
4:45 LTT $212

or

10:20 1900 Park Fare $242
7:00 CRT $420

The first option is cheaper and still allows us to try CRT. The 2nd option allows us to try CRT for dinner (which is heard is better???) and to do 1900 Park Fare for brunch which we love. But it's a late dinner time.

We wouldn't eat lunch with either of these options.

Thoughts?

We have done MK before on Easter and it actually isn't bad at all! Touring Plans predicts it at a 7. They predict the day before (Saturday) at a 10. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised the last time that we went that it wasn't wall to wall people. But we've also gone at Easter a couple of times now, Thanksgiving, and the week before Christmas (left on the 23rd). The only crowded time that we haven't done is the week between Christmas and New Years. Maybe we are just used to the crowds???

Oh - and usually we are rope drop people to avoid crowds. But I don't like to rope drop on Easter Sunday.

10am and 445pm seems too close for big meals for me... I'd go with your 2nd option of 1900 PF brunch and a later CRT dinner.

I'd rope drop Easter Sunday (I'm sure MK will be open early), leave for your brunch reservation, take a break, then head back to MK later in the afternoon for the CRT dinner.

We are typically rope drop people but we won't rope drop on Easter Sunday. Do you think the CRT breakfasts are big? I looked at the menu and they looked pretty standard. It isn't all you can eat like a buffet. Am I wrong? I was thinking almost 9 hours between with the other option would be too long and we'd have to plan something in between. No?

CRT breakfast isn't really big but it's pretty filling- you get a basket of pastries in addition to your entrees. Personal preference but I wouldn't schedule 2 table service meals that close together.

1900 PF should be lots of food to hold everyone over until a 7pm dinner... if not, I'd get a snack midday- pretzel, popcorn, or something like that- I don't think you'd need to book a lunch unless your family are big eaters? Everyone is different... my family typically eats less while in the parks so a snack easily holds everyone over until a meal but I know others who want 3 meals a day. It really just depends on how your family eats.

We're not big eaters but my kids especially can only go so long between meals. So we will eat a meal and only be able to eat so much. Then we will be hungry and ready for the next meal. Does that make sense? This is why I often order kids meals at QS restaurants and sometimes even at TS restaurants that aren't buffets or character meals. Or we split meals a lot. This is unusual for us to have 2 TS meals in a day but it is more about the experiences. Snacking more between may be a solution.

You lost me at mk on Easter Sunday. I can’t imagine a worse fate.
You lost me at the choice between $552 and $662 for lunch and dinner.

When will this insanity stop? As long as we continue to pay these prices there is no reason for Disney to charge more reasonable prices.

Our family went to WDW multiple times 15 years ago and always accepted the higher prices for captive theme park guests but in the last 5 or so years the prices have just soared.

Don't even get me started on the resort prices. :(

If you go to 1900 PF on Easter there is a lot to do at the GF. Special Easter Mickey and Minnie are there, the White Rabbit was there last year. The patio had all sorts of activities etc...... also a candy hunt, but I think that was pretty early.
