We have 6 nights at the Boardwalk. We land at 3pm. Which would you choose?

  • Arrival night: Ragland Road at Disney Springs or Rose & Crown at EPCOT. This adds a half a day at Epcot to our plans, loses a half at Disney Springs.
  • Last night: 2nd Hollywood Studios day and SW Fireworks dessert party booked - Trattoria breakfast/brunch or Mama Melrose or Sci-Fi lunch?

For arrival day I would prefer Epcot. I actually usually end up at Epcot on my arrival day because I don’t need two full days there, but it is nice to have a second day to get a tier one FP.

For last day it depends. Who is in your party? If you have little girls Trattoria hands down. The character interactions are great there. If it’s just boys or adults I’d pick Sci Fi. The food is nothing fancy, but the atmosphere is really cool.

Rose & Crown is one of my favorites, so I would choose it. Plus Disney Springs is open later than the parks, so you can squeeze it in more easily through your visit than the parks.

And what the OP said in regards to your last night! Although I've never had anything bad at MM either.

I’d always go directly to Epcot if I’m staying at an Epcot resort, so I vote Rose and Crown.
And I’d pick SciFi for final day.

If you land at 3p, you won't get to Epcot until around 5p. ( give or take ) If the park closes at 9p the day you are thinking of going would you want to use a ticket for that day?

For us, we always do DS on arrival day - this was we're not using one of our Park days and if we are travel weary we can just head back to the resort without feeling like we have to push ourselves.

Another vote for Rose and Crown on arrival. When we stay at an EPCOT resort, we like to go to EPCOT as its convenient.
Last day, MM and Sci Fi both are good, but love the atmosphere at Sci Fi.

Rose and Crown for a few very good reasons.
On travel day you don’t need more travel. Stay close and dine in Epcot.
There’s never enough time in Epcot. So much to see. So much ground to cover. So I vote for an extra half day.

The convenience of walking right over to Epcot is ideal. So I would pick Rose and Crown----but the fact that you would be using a park ticket when you wouldn't get there until 5-6 p.m. at best and would spend another at least 90 minutes for a TS there seems kinda like a waste of a ticket. Do you have a ticket you can burn? If so, go for it. Maybe plan to stay for the fireworks. I say all of this not knowing the ages of those who are traveling with you, or what time you are getting up that morning. For our family, we have two littles and if we were up early, there is just no way we could pull off more than dinner and a reasonable bedtime so we could get "started" with our trip the next day. Also, to add, Ragland Road is one of our favorites. It is fun for all ages and the food is always great for us. It is just a fun environment to kick off a trip with. If you have folks older an over 21--it is a fun place later at night if you wanted to stay out.

Would you consider on your first night eating somewhere on the Boardwalk--we always have a great meal at Trattoria Al Forno for dinner. Or perhaps consider going over to the Yacht and Beach Club since you could walk over there or take the Friendship Boat. As for your last meal in HS---hands down I would pick Sci-Fi. Its a unique dining experience you can't get anywhere else.

We are traveling with teenagers, but we will be up at 5-5:30am our time for a flight at 8am. We land at 2:30 Orlando time. This would get us to Boardwalk around 4:30, being conservative?

So now I am rethinking feeling pressured to make that ADR at Rose & Crown that night. In all honesty, we'd probably just eat and find ourselves back at the Boardwalk in bed. I love the idea of Raglan, but husband would prefer to start with something "relaxing", so now I'm thinking maybe we should just leave this night open - stay on the Boardwalk or go in to EPCOT for FP+ and QS.

I managed to grab Sci Fi for our last night at 3, which seems early, but is perfect to eat, use a few FP+, and then make it in time for the SW dessert party at 8. We will probably have a rest day/pool day beforehand.
