I haven't stayed @ Aof A so I can only give you my opinion of FW, we stayed there in October 2009:
Breakfast food: standard- but having the kitchen was nice, my sister lives in Orlando, and brought us some bagels and other stuff when she came to visit!!! (Poptarts etc)
Transportation: HORRIBLE!!!! (except the boat to Magic Kingdom) The resort has 2 seperate bus systems, if you are far out, you have to take the "internal bus" to get to the "external bus" which was extremely time consuming, and quite frankly, hard with my little ones, stroller, diaper bag etc. and especially hard after a long day!!!! But with the age of your kids, it might not matter. But waiting 10-20 minutes for a bus, to get off and wait another 10-20 minutes is a pain for any one in my opinion.
Pool: my kids were too young for the main pool, but it seemed fun, the baby pool/play area was great with little slides, sprays etc.
We were there over Halloween, and it was great with many campers and sites decorated and Trick or Treating that night!!! The campfires and movies were great too, but your kids will probably be too old for them.
It's, well, woodsy. and if your teenage DD's are into that, I'd say go for it, otherwise I would say go the Aof A route. 2 bathrooms alone is worth a pile of gold to me. The cabins don't even have the split bathroom that standard (moderate) resort rooms have.
I can't wait to stay at AofA, maybe my 2013 trip...
