We are going to be going in June 2013. It will be me, DH, DD15, DD12, DF15, and DF12. Art of Animation and the Cabins cost the same. Important things to us are breakfast foods, transportation and pool. Which one would you choose? Thanks for any information!

All I can speak to is the cabins. When we went it was 4 adults and 1 child. It is a full bed in the bedroom with bunk beds and a pull down murphy bed. It could be a little cramped for anyone over 5 ft in the bunk beds but the kitchen and deck is nice. It took a long time to get to the bus stops and IMO the food was okay. If AOA will accomodate your party size I would choose it. The menu looks amazing and they are brand spanking new!!

I haven't stayed @ Aof A so I can only give you my opinion of FW, we stayed there in October 2009:

Breakfast food: standard- but having the kitchen was nice, my sister lives in Orlando, and brought us some bagels and other stuff when she came to visit!!! (Poptarts etc)

Transportation: HORRIBLE!!!! (except the boat to Magic Kingdom) The resort has 2 seperate bus systems, if you are far out, you have to take the "internal bus" to get to the "external bus" which was extremely time consuming, and quite frankly, hard with my little ones, stroller, diaper bag etc. and especially hard after a long day!!!! But with the age of your kids, it might not matter. But waiting 10-20 minutes for a bus, to get off and wait another 10-20 minutes is a pain for any one in my opinion.

Pool: my kids were too young for the main pool, but it seemed fun, the baby pool/play area was great with little slides, sprays etc.

We were there over Halloween, and it was great with many campers and sites decorated and Trick or Treating that night!!! The campfires and movies were great too, but your kids will probably be too old for them.

It's, well, woodsy. and if your teenage DD's are into that, I'd say go for it, otherwise I would say go the Aof A route. 2 bathrooms alone is worth a pile of gold to me. The cabins don't even have the split bathroom that standard (moderate) resort rooms have.

I can't wait to stay at AofA, maybe my 2013 trip...:confused3

I just got back on Wednesday from AoA. I would recommend it. It is a beautiful resort and having the table, chairs, sofa and two bathrooms would be nice for your large group. We didn't eat in the food court other than having a muffin one day and gelato before we went back to the airport. Other than our two character breakfasts, we just got muffins at the resort or in the parks. The bus ride to MK is the longest, about 25 min. HS and Epcot only took 10-15 min. AK took about 15-20 min. That's providing you don't have to wait too long for the buses. The buses do come at least every 15-20 min.

The only things I didn't like is that a few times we had to stand on the buses and sometimes there were a lot of people waiting in line. Two times I opted to take a cab since the lines were long for MK and HS and it looked as if we would have to wait for two buses. We had a reservation for 1900 Park Fare and I didn't want to be late. Once we got to the MK, we would have still had to take the monorail to the GF. The other time we took a cab, it was our last day and we only had a few hours to spend at HS. That line was long enough that we would have had to wait for 2 buses as well and I didn't want to waste any time.

I would pick AoA over the cabins but that it mostly because of the 'wildlife' and the once when walking between WL and FW I ended up with some chigger bites would try to avaid that happening again. Plus the food at AoA looks really appetising.

Another vote for AoA...teenage girl's and TWO bathrooms = :thumbsup2!

We looked at the cabins as well, I just couldn't get onboard with the size of the grounds. Enjoy your vacation!
