We (me, DH, and DS 6) are going at the beginning of December with a free dining bounceback. We have most of our meals chosen but are stuck on our last credit so I would love some opinions and suggestions.
So far we are set on Garden Grill, the Minnie holiday one in DHS, breakfast at Cape May, Captain's Grille, Yachtsman, and HDDR.
We are staying at Beach Club and this is our first time as a family at a Deluxe so we are looking forward to enjoying lots of time at our resort. DS still loves character meals so he requested lots of those. I am hoping to be pregnant when we go and based on my last pregnancy pungent aromas really upset my stomach so favorites like dinner at Cape May or Biergarten are out.
So, what would you do with the last credit? Are Candlelight packages just 1 credit? If so that would definitely be an option... Anywhere on the Boardwalk worth going to? Walking over there would be fun. Any other ideas (preferably in the parks or somewhere walkable from Beach Club)?

I should add DH is kind of a foodie, I am not but have never had an issue finding a meal I liked on Disney menus. So any kind of cuisine is fine.

Sorry, can't tell you about candlelight package. Restaurants at BW are OK, but Trattoria al Forno opened right after our last visit. Walk to DHS is nice, but might be a bit much for a 6 year old. If it were me, I'd be looking at Via Napoli, Rose & Crown (if the weather allows, make a later ressie, ask for a table outside and watch Illuminations after dinner) or Coral Reef. I am thinking more about your son, since that's what I would do (to eat in peace). You will have an enjoyable walk to any of those. If you had not mentioned GG, that would have been my first choice for your character meal.

We did CR this September and he did love it but the meal took 2 hours?? so we are hesitant to try that again.
We have never done R&C so that would be fun! Thanks for the suggestions!

We just tried Rose and Crown on our last trip while staying at BC. We weren't terribly hungry because we were staying CL and had over indulged on evening apps in the lounge, so we chose salads. But they were quite good. DS 4.5 loved his food (he got the child's steak). I'd definitely go again.

We also went to Beaches and Cream twice on that trip. It's right at the resort, which is a huge plus, and the menu, though limited to sandwiches, burgers, and such, had something for all of us. We enjoyed the atmosphere.

Trattoia al Forno on the Boardwalk gets good reviews if you want to walk in that direction (I've never been, but want to).

In Epcot, I love San Angel Inn in Mexico while many others recommend the the Hacienda (not sure of the full name) next to the lake. I really enjoyed our visit to Via Napoli in Italy too, also Chefs de France in France :). My family also went to Spice Road Table in Morocco last December...small plates and entrees, all very good...and it's right on the lake, with an outdoor area that you can likely request to sit in (the restaurant doesn't seem to be one that's always full) that might help if food scents/smells are something you can't handle with a wee one on the way.

The Candlelight Processional has been historically 2 TS credits. We really like Trattoria al Forno! The food is good, atmosphere is nice and the Boardwalk is so fun at night! We stay at the Boardwalk a lot and DS9 absolutely loves watching the shows and playing the carnival games. In EP WS (and not a far walk from BC), we really like Spice Road Table. The food is great (best 1 TS in EP IMHO) and the staff is really wonderful.

Trattoria al Forno on Boardwalk has the new character breakfast that just started today, so if interested in another breakfast that might be an option. The only restuarant our kids insist we return to each trip is Teppan Edo in Epcot. Your son might like the show by the chefs and the food is pretty good. Easy 10-15 minute walk from Beach Club.

Thanks for the opinions everyone!
I hadn't realized that Candlight packages were all 2 credits so we had to rearrange some things and then with doing that realized we may want to do the Rivers of Light package too. So we ended up with Garden Grill, Cape May, Holiday Minnie at H&V, HDDR, ROL Tiffins, and CP Tutto Italia. Planning to pay OOP for a meal at Beaches & Cream and Rose & Crown.
Now to just wait patiently for my 180 to set those in stone :)
