I originally booked at Pop, but switched to CBR when the discounts came out. However, a friend of mine just got back from CBR and hated it (busses were slow, room smelled moldy). Now I'm thinking about switching back to Pop, but I'm also debating switching to another moderate or maybe a cheaper deluxe.

We're two adults. We like a good pool and a good QS menu (don't care about table service). Bus service is important too. I stayed one night at Pop and loved the room, but wasn't crazy about the food court. I usually stay deluxe, but haven't been very impressed with the rooms for the price.

Any guidance! Thanks!

You have to go with your gut and do what works for you and the other adult. I've only stayed in Value resorts while visiting Disney. The exception being when hubby was in the military we did Shades of Green twice. The restaurant there was amazing and service was on point! That was back in 98 and 00, so I'm not sure how they stand now. The resort itself though, being as close to the MK as it is, was a nice convienence. When it was just hubby and I visiting on an anniversary trip back in 2001 we stayed at ASMu. Wanted a value with more "adult" theming. We both LOVED it! When we took our son the first time back in 2011, we did All Star Sports. In 2015 Pop Century. And this June, my son and I will be doing Sports again. The food court isn't a big deal to us because of our kosher diet and we know what we get will be microwaved anyway. We do it just to hold us till we visit one of the kosher restaurants off site. I like the theming of all the All Stars, Pop Century being my favorite. Of course my son likes Sports, but that is to be expected considering he's a basketball player! :goodvibes :cheer2:

I want to say don't let one bad review throw you off your original plans. However, your friend's review of CBR is not the first bad one I've read here. There are good ones too, but every resort, even the deluxes have their good and bad. People are saying that Sports is run down and needs to be refurbished. Well it will be. Unfortunately, that won't happen till after our trip in June, but I'm good with that. I'm in the room to sleep....that's it. The majority of our time will be in the parks, at the pool, or at Disney Springs. Go with your gut and do what you know will keep your happy while on your vacation. The ONE thing I've always heard about being a positive with the Value resorts is the bus system. Yes the three resorts have to share, but rarely are the busses not on time. And if you stay at Sports you're at a plus because that is the first pick up of the resorts and the first drop off. I will probably be driving most times to the park, but my son wants to take the bus once or twice while there and we will. That's the reason I chose a preferred room. Closer to where they pick up. Go with your gut. I know mine rarely steers me wrong. :thumbsup2

It’s an easy walk across the bridge to the AofA foodcourt if you switch back to Pop but don’t like the food offerings at Pop. Maybe check out the menu.

The Pop pools are fine, but full of kids. The bowling pin pool and computer pool are generally less crowded then the main pool but there’s no hot tub if that’s something you’re interested in.

I do love the buses at Pop. :)

I like Pop, but for two adults you might look at CSR. The pool(s) is(are) fantastic. Bus service is good (I like Pop's better). I'm not a huge fan of any of the food courts though I think either Pop or CSR are good enough. The bus service at CBR is iffy and it would be a deal killer for me. My family loves Pop, but when we can get CSR for slightly more we choose CSR and for two adults it would be CSR for sure.

We were at cbr last week and loved it. Our room was great and we didn’t have any major bus issues. I can only remember one morning waiting a little longer. The resort is huge which scared us, but it was fine. A little far walk to the food court, but we were close to a bus stop and a coke freestyle machine.

I’ve never stayed at pop so can’t compare. I was worried about he size of cbr and buses, but we had no issues.

I stayed at Pop Century in 2015 & again in 2018. I hope it wasn’t just my imagination but I thought the food offerings vastly improved b/t 2015 & 2018. I especially liked the brick oven pizza they have now.

We love Pop and would choose it over CBR any day! Honestly the only thing I really miss when staying there is a hot tub. We like the variety of food options and also as a PP said it's a quick walk to AoA which also has a good food court (I like Pop's better personally though). For moderates, we like CSR and POFQ, both have lovely grounds, nice pools and we like the food courts. But, for the cost of POFQ if you could swing it I would bump up to AKL. You could get a standard room there for not too much more. We absolutely love AKL, it's only second to the Poly on our list (and Pop is our 3rd fav!).

Coronado Springs! We love the resort. If you will be going after July 9, the new tower will be open. You could splurge and stay Club Level access.

I will agree with several others and recommend Coronado Springs. I'm not too familiar with the food court, but the pools there are wonderful!

I would STAY with CBR for 2 adults! Large rooms, quiet pools and with the new CS options, some of the best food on WDW property!

When I finally got the go ahead to book a trip this year I looked long and hard at the price difference with DP and found a $1500 difference between staying at CB and Contemporary. I just said screw it and booked contemporary. It’s not like we have the money, but the monorail and perks of staying there mostly make it worth it, I hope. Last year at AOA character meals seemed nearly impossible logistically with three kids under 6. With park hopper and a monorail it’s seems like it should be so much easier.
