Apparently, I'm the most indecisive person in the world. I can't seem to make up my mind on a hotel for our July trip. BWPPI is now on my radar. Any insights would be very helpful!

At this point I'm leaning toward the Hojo because of all the reports of cleanliness there. That is really my number one concern. DS has severe allergies and asthma. I didn't get one of the awesome entertainment rates, just the DIS discount.

So, now I'm thinking about BWPPI. I just think the proximity with BWPPI can't be beat.

Help... me... please...can't...decide....:)

I understand, my hardest part is picking and sticking with a hotel too! I have heard wonderful things about BWPPI and I just changed my hotel to the BWPPI, since the walk really is the best. Not so important in the morning, but after many hours in the parks, it does make a difference. When I have stayed at HOJO's I felt it was just a little too far to walk back and forth several times a day, but others don't feel that way. Hope this helps a little :)

I haven't stayed at BWPPI since 2009, and I think I read somewhere that they refurbed, but back then I would not have trusted allergies to that room. Never stayed at Hojo's. Other than BW we usually go Marriott, which other than the FFI which is the closest are all _very_ clean. And of xourse for our big annual trip we stay at the Grand; last time we checkedinto the room at 3p it was still damp from them cleaning the carpet. Its pricey (less if you rent points), but man they are very meticulous about Mousekeeping!

Just a tip: Fairfield Inn offers **newly** renovated rooms. We were there last week/this week and the room was renovated 2 weeks ago. New carpeting, mattress, pull-out sleeper sofa, tables, tub and shower surround. We chose the Mickey theme but they offered a Nemo theme as well.

You'll have to ask for these rooms as they are a $15/night upgrade for city view and $25/night for park view.

Oh man! I'm having a tough time here. Still don't know what to do...

We stayed at BWPPI recently, and our room was really clean. We did call and ask for extra cleaning just to be safe. I have allergy induced asthma, and both my toddler boys have asthma, and we all did fine there. Even with them sleeping close to the floor, and all their exploring didn't end up with any flair ups for any of us. :thumbsup2

Thanks Kittyskyfish for the info on Fairfield Inn. My daughter and I are staying there in June and it is nice to hear they have updated rooms!:yay:

You're welcome! And they're still renovating rooms. While we were there, Thomasville furniture trucks were pulling in and we heard the occasional renovation sounds in the daytime. Nothing to keep us from daytime naps, but from the looks of it there will be lots more "new rooms" coming soon!

I stayed at BWPPI last week...my room was immaculately clean, and the location can't be beat! It was so nice to be able to just walk across the street!

So glad to hear that! I booked us there for August after making the walk to & from the Fairfield for our last few trips.
Like someone said earlier, the walk in the morning is ok, but at night it was a killer.

Oh, it was soooooooooooo nice to just cross the street & be to the hotel at the end of the day! You will have a great stay there I'm sure!

we are also trying to pick a hotel....which non dis hotels are the closest walking distance?

How comfy are the beds at BWPPI? I really want something comfy after walking in the park all day....we stayed at the carousel inn a few years ago and their beds were fabulous:)

How about the sofabeds at BWPPI? I don't think I've ever experienced a comfortable hotel sofabed & am considering bringing an air mattress or foam pad to use on top. Does anyone have thoughts on this? Thanks!

mrs.ariel: I found the bed I had at BWPPI to be super-comfy, and I have issues with my back, so I am pickier than most re: bed comfort. The pillows were nice as well!

Mindy71: The sofabed was about average...not as comfortable as the normal bed, but it also didn't feel like a Flintstones bed (ie: stuffed with rocks and bones :rotfl:) like alot of sofabeds do. IMO it wasn't so bad as to warrant needing to bring an air mattress. I slept through the night on it one night I was there (I was sick so I wanted to sleep right next to the air conditioner as I felt hot) and I have a TERRIBLE back, so someone without that problem may well find it super-comfy :thumbsup2
