Going for our shortest trip ever - specifically for my 50th. Will arrrive on a Wed afternoon in January and fly home Sat night! Staying in a Grand Villa at BWV,with our best friends and our two college aged sons. Planning to go to MK on my actual birthday (EE that day:) and will also spend time at HS and Epcot. Have dinner reservations at Narcooses during the fireworks and Raglan Road on my Birthday (may actually go to Cafe Paradiso for dinner and RR for drinks/dessert) . Any other ideas of special/fun things to do in or outside the parks given the make-up of the group? Someone told me Kim Possible is a hoot - not sure I could convince my boys to do it, but it would be different. All ideas welcome - no matter how crazy!

I celebrated my 50th at Disney last year. My husband told them it was my 50th when we checked in and they gave me a Happy Birthday button. My teenagers wanted to die when I wore it until we started getting special treatment in the parks - it was at a slow time of the year. Then they were happy to be with me. Make sure when you're checking in they know that its your Birthday visit.

I was thinking of getting the birthday pin - not really my style to announce it to the world, but heck, I am flying all the way down there for it :) And yes, my boys will roll their eyes, but I have decided that 50 is the magic age where I am old enough to stop worrying about what others think! Do you wear it just on your birthday or for the duration of your trip? Thanks for the tip!

I celebrated my 50th birthday dinner at Narcoosee's also. Not sure if they still do this but if you let them know in advance they will have a menu printed with your celebration at top. A wonderful keepsake! Enjoy!

I celebrated my 60th in May and we really had fun with it. I wore the button every day of our trip and got some great birthday wishes from almost every cast member. One actually wouldn't let me pay for my Mickey bar. And I finally got to sit in row A at Soarin'. :cool1:

We'll be at BWV in January....... 1/19 - 1/26. If we see you I'll buy you a birthday cocktail ! ;)

Enjoy your trip and Happy Birthday ! :woohoo:

Thanks so much for the tips, and thanks for the cocktail offer mouseaider! Will just miss you though (there from 12th-15th!) Appreciate the thought! :)

We arrived a few days before my birthday and I didn't wear it until my actual birthday but I did wear it for a few days after my birthday. I suggest you wear it for the whole trip - after all the whole trip is your birthday celebration.
