Well, we found out today that our second child is a girl!!:Pinkbounc

She was conceived on our first Disney cruise (I guess nothing gets you in the mood like Disney:lol: )

I wanted to somehow come up with a name that had something to do with our trip....

all I could think of was
Sailor
Ocean

DH is not fond of either one....

anyone have any ideas?

I think Sailor is cute! Marina is nice too (I know it's not quite like a port, but it is water related).

Jasmine
Wendy
Belle
Ariel

There is Tasi, name meaning "sea, ocean." or Salina, Saleena meaning "by the salt water". You can do a search on google for baby names. Good luck! And congratulations!!!

Congratulations!!! What a great story she will have behind her name. You'll have to keep us posted on the end result!

Adriana - Latin - A woman who is of the sea
Cordelia - Celtic - Daughter of the sea
Marisa - Italian - Longing for the sea
Nerissa - Greek - Of the sea
Dylana - Welsh - Ocean-born
Kelsy - Scandinavian - Island of the ships
Marisol - Spanish - Sunny Sea
Marnie - American - From the Sea
Dorie - American - The Sea

Depending on what ship you were on:

Wonder :
Kylee - To wonder, admire

Magic :
Rhiannon - Welsh - Magic maiden

-----
A funny side story : My husband and I planned and planned and debated back and forth as to what to name our first child (all indications from sonogram per the tech and Dr. was BOY)... Well, 4 1/2 months later, after the room was done and clothes were purchased - guess what

- out popped a GIRL! And 3 years later she is STILL surprising us! Guess we were just not meant to know ahead of time.

Oh my gosh - It is just like the old DCL commercial - "Mom and Dad call her our little souvenier"

How would you pronounce this?

and this one:

Marisol - Spanish - Sunny Sea
like parasol?

These are all great ideas!! Thanks so much - keep 'em coming....

DH did suggest Wonder.....but then I thought most people would relate that to the bread....none of my friends or family know what the Disney ships are called...

"Serina is mermaid in spanish "

It's really Sirena (see-REH-nah) :D Think Sirens from mythology

Marisol is pronounced mah-ree-SOLE

It might be interesting to see if there's a patron saint for the ocean or something, as well!

Bonine? HA! :)

Just kidding!
I'm not the creative type, just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Was your first cruise Bahamas, Western Caribbean, or Eastern Caribbean?

How about Portia (pronouned like Porsche) .. it's got "port" in it :)
