I would love to do my scrapbooks in a 12x12 format. I am a picture hound and easily take 10+ rolls of film on 4-5 day trips and love the thought of having more room for my pictures.

However....I have tons of 8x11 paper and don't want to just let it go to waste. I know that I will use a lot of it for matting photos, diecuts etc... but what to to do with the rest. I also don't exactly love the idea of having to run out and buy all new paper (well I do but my dbf and bank account do not )

Can any one help?

Well I have done a little of both but have to say that I also really prefer the 12 x 12 albums, you can be more pics on and have more room to be creative with embellishments, toppers, borders, tags, ect, ect! You can use your 8.5 x 11 paper for all of those things as well as journalling boxes, paper tearing, die cuts, frames, paper piecings, punchies!
So there is alot that you can do with the 8.5 x 11!

There is also a thing called EZ stretch template that will help you cut the 8.5x11 paper and "stretch" it into 12x12 (it makes kind of a striped background) I have seen some ladies using it a crops, but never tried it myself. Perhaps someone else on the board has one and can give you more information on it!!

I've done 1 8.5X11 album and 8 12X12 ones. I regularly use 8.5X11 paper in the 12X12 albums. I just "mat" the 8.5 paper onto 12X12 cardstock. Sometimes I center the paper and other times I will angle it or put it off to one edge. I then journal in the extra area or place matted photos there.
