Help make her dream come true!

Hi! I am soooo excited for you and your wife!!! She will love it. Make sure to find out some of the places she wants to eat now in casual conversation because its hard to get last minute ADR's (you know you do them 6 mos. in advance) Please keep us updated on what you decide and enjoy your planning:)

Thx, as far as your thread is concerned we have never really gotten that deep into it as I dont think she ever thought that we'd go. But, knowing her like I do we will be doing CRT for sure (probably our last full night there) and a Fantasmic dinner package, more than likely at the Brown Derby (I've read a few great reviews). Other than that I'm going to try and make a res. some where for wishes and what not (we will be on the Deluxe DDP so we're going to have to make the most of it)...Its going to be great..I'm going to have to scrape her off the ceiling Christmas morning!:santa:

Last Christmas, we surprised our daughters with a Disney Cruise. We left on Jan. 15. So, their last gift to open was a HUGE box. Inside, I had helium balloons that rose up to the ceiling attached to a sign that read "Disney Cruise Jan. 15". They LOVED it, and the huge box was torture for them to have to wait to open! lol
Beware, helium balloons don't hold as much as you'd think. I was lucky that my kids were gone for Christmas Eve...I had to make 3 trips to the party store for additional balloons! :)
You are so sweet to be planning and surprising your wife! I did something similar for my husband for our 1st anniversary: I planned a 4 night trip to Vegas, didn't tell him ANYTHING, and woke him up the morning of the trip with his bags packed. I didn't tell him where we were going until after the limo dropped us off at the airport! He had NO IDEA! It was fabulous.

The balloon idea is awesome... perhaps I'll "borrow" this one and at the end of the strings will be personalized Mickey ears...great idea, Thx:worship:

I'd do really weird stuff at first and then finish with the helium surprise that the past poster used (please note that "tinfoil" balloons will hold helium for a couple of days so you could hide them earlier whereas latex deflates within hours)

but what I was thinking first was some seemingly unrelated gifts

stocking- maybe make a play on what EPCOT offers. If she is a foodie, maybe some Moroccan spices, Emglish teas, or chopsticks.

Followed by slippers (cinderella), a vera bradley bag or backpack or even sunglasses (to carry in the park)

maybe even a camera?

Some piece of disney jewelry or a disney plush.

followed by the BIG box

You might buy her some Disney Pins on ebay. They have thousands to choose from and are a fun item to wear in the parks. It is a huge and popular pastime to trade pins with others who are wearing them (in the parks). and then keeping the ones that will best reflect your vacation memories. It just adds to the fun.

These are great ideas....we're in need of a new camera...the slippers idea was awesome...I dont know how I'd do this without these boards.

I think it would be neat if you got her her luggage and things she would use to go on vacation and fill it with Disney stuff. On the outside of the luggage have a card with a dvd inside. Have clues leading to her "vacation" and then at the end have her head photo shopped in with Mickey, Minnie, etc... and have it say we are going to Disney World!!! I think that would be super neat and surprising !

use your computer and write her a letter from Mickey Mouse inviting her to Walt Disney World and name the resort.

make it real cheasy like.. " a special somone wanted to sprinkle some pixie dust into your life" and at the end of course you need a "see ya real soon" at the end.

get some disney confetti to put inside.

Wow, what a sweet video!

I was almost crying at the part where she saw the castle for the first time!

Hope you had a great time!

Thanks for letting us being part how the surprised worked.

Don't mention it. I don't know what I would have done without everyone on the boards. Glad you enjoyed it.

I should not have watched that at work! Almost made me cry. Thank goodness no one walked in my office or I might have had some explaining to do. :rotfl:

Yeah I cried. The look on your wife's face... priceless. She is a beautiful woman with a remarkable smile. I like how she seemed to be drawn to the castle. You can tell this meant the world to her. Well done!:wizard:

Thats very nice of you to say, Thank you.....It has been a lifelong dream of hers to see Cinderella Castle ever since she was old enough to know that such a thing existed. Thats exactly what happened, as soon as she saw the castle she just had to get closer....no matter how many railings she walked into....:rotfl:
