Hi,
I need some DIS Help. I am going to disneyworld in this coming spring, and I would like to surprise my wife ( who's a huge disney/disneyworld fan) with something romantic and sweet.. But I have no idea, what special gifts/events I are available in our resort (POFQ) or parks. I not too sure what I am looking for, but any and all suggestion would be helpful.

thanks:worship:

Welcome to the boards!!!

At POFQ, they have carriage rides which I would think would be very romantic. There are wonderful, romantic places to eat all over Disneyworld, with Victoria and Alberts, Artist Point, Citricos being tops on the list. You could go on a fireworks cruise, although they are very pricey. What does she like? Does she like jewelry, bags, perfume? Those are readily available all over Disneyworld.

She is more in to the Disney experience, but we have the kids, so it tough to leave them alone via a babysitter service, and I don"t think its fair for them either. We want to do the carriage rides and fireworks cruise, but as a family. She not really in to perfume, and jewelry. But she like bags, any suggestions of a good store at disneyworld?
:crazy2:

You can get in contact with the Disney Florist service and plan out a gift set for her in the room. Of course, your kids might want something too... But they offer a wide variety of things from flowers to spa baskets, wine toasts, etc. You can talk to someone to get more specific details, and it's possible to include maybe some plushies for your kids too.

As far as bags go, if she likes designers she'll love the Dooney and Burke Disney bags. They have them in different types, designs, and sizes, and you can get them at disneystore.com or in the parks (try Downtown Disney's World of Disney, or maybe some of the upscale resort shops). Not sure if you can have it waiting in your room when you arrive, but it might be worth it to ask.

There is also a dessert party in MK (never been to it) that may work. You can also order her a special cake if you have an advance reservation at a restaurant. There are some mixed reviews on cake quality-- I think it depends on which restaurant you're ordering from.

Hope some of this helps!

Does she have a Disney and Boorke bag? If she really likes bag this may be a perfect gift. There is a whole thread about them the link is below. You can also get an idea of what is available at the disney store online. They are on Ebay too but because they are popular ebay has a lot of fakes being sold as the real thing.

Sounds great guys!:thumbsup2 I'll check out the Disney and Boorke bag online.
I would like to compare the disney florist service with another service, are there other companies that provide the same service and delivery to your disney room?

thanks

:) I love the Pick a Pearl counter in Japan. You pay $17.00 and allow her to pick the oyster from the tank. They do a little ceremony and then find the pearl there in front of you. There are rings, pins and pendents for a setting and she can pick several settings out from $20.00 and up. I know you said she was not in to jewelry but she may enjoy the experience and it would be special if you suggested it then stood by and supported her in the selection and stuff. As a nurse I am not into jewelry too much since I cannot wear it at work. But a pearl is very simple and beautiful and it would be an additional memory. It takes about 30 min to an hour to have the pearl set. She can get a white/pink, yellow or blue/black pearl--it is the luck of the draw.

Mine is on my finger now and lovely. I shared the experience with my MIL and she had her pearl set in a pin as our Christmas present to her.

You can get her a Chamilla charm/ bracelet (I have Cinderella's coach, but you can get different ones.)

If she doesn't already have this (or Pandora- bracelet fits the same charms), you could get her a charm every trip...

:thumbsup2 Ok I would get up one morning and play like it was going to be another day at Disney. Will you have a car? Then I would drive her to SSR or GF (keeping it all a secret) and wave bye bye as she went off for a facial and massage while I kept and did the park with the kids. I think she would be stunned with that...hell, I would. If you are using Disney Transportation. I would draw up some sort of gift certificate, giving her the details and then when you hit the lobby, have a taxi waiting to wisk her away. You can pre schedule all this by using the website "Are You relaxed Yet?"...or something like that. It would take just 2-4 hours depending on the service. Conceirge (sp?) would help with the taxi.

Thranks for all the input, i think I like the flower delivery the best! and the pearls at Japan is a close second. I'll think I will do both

I need a romantic way to present my wife with a ring, during our stay at disney world. I am thinking of using a dessert during one of our dining experiences, or maybe hiding it in inside a goofy candy co. snack. But i am opened to some help here, plz

Anybody have any other good ideas, I'm all ears lol!?:worship:

Get a rezzie at the restaurant at the top of the contemporary. Request to be seated at the counter where the desserts are made.

Great views of kitchen...all the food being prepped....especially the desserts. Can talk with cooks during meal and....

the dessert unplugged is always extra special there...

When she goes to get food have it sitting on a plate( I had a watch )
Regular dinner go to the bathroom and find your waiter and have it served with a birthday cake
When signing in order your cake

If you're doing a carriage ride you could present her with the ring in a crystal Cinderella slipper while on the carriage ride. ;)

The pick a pearl in Epcot (Japan) was lots of fun!I got a nice pearl that I had set into a nice necklace. Also, I love having tea at the GF!:wizard: That is one of my favorite things!princess:
