I am not a computer savvy person so I was hoping someone could help me...

Today when everyone was having trouble logging on, I was having the same problems as everyone else. Finally I was able to log on via my desktop computer which I rarely use for VMK. I did the Quest, everything worked great. Typically I use my notebook computer for VMK because I find that I do better playing the games. I used it just yesterday for VMK and it worked fine.

Tried to log on again now that I know VMK is back up and running and all I get is BSOD no matter how many times I retry or restart my notebook.

Any ideas?? I much prefer playing VMK on my notebook so any help is greatly appreciated.

Best bet probably is to uninstall Flash Player and Shockwave. Then restart your notebook. Then reinstall Shockwave and Flash, restart and try that. There is a thread somewhere that has more detail on this that Mal was so kind to provide, but for the most part this usually works. All I ever use is my notebook computer so no real trick to it. My guess is that something is just conflicting with these programs and it just happened that it wasn't on your desktop. Good Luck!

If I find the thread again I'll post the link here.

Here it is.

Thank you!:flower3:

Question:

Do you use wireless for the laptop? If so, is the wireless built in or is it a PCI card?
If so, what speed is your wireless router? if it is an A or B speed, you might be having some connection slowness, as well if it is an older router. Best bet would be, if you are using A or B, to upgrade to a G router and G speed card (if using the PCI card) - if it is built in, there may be an update from the manufacturer you can download to increase the speed to G level.
