At what point do the airlines (Southwest is the one we're flighing) charge you money for your suitcase being to heavy. We bought a 32 inch pullman and fit everything for all 4 of us in it and it's only 3/4 full but weighs about 60 lbs. What will the charge be?

We fly Southwest all the time and the weight limit for them is 70lbs. after that I'm not sure the charge, I do know it is on the Web site. www.southwest.com
I hope this helped.

DD just flew to Hawaii on Champion. Her's weighed 56 lbs. and the limit was 50 lbs. They told her it would be a $50 charge for it! They let it slide going and she purchased another bag to come home with as they allow two checked bags per person. When she went to Europe I think the weight limit was higher so it prob. is different on different airlines.
