help!!leaving for wd soon! passes, eating etc.

new to this forum! we are leaving Feb 29. Haven't purch. passes yet-we do only the four main parks...don't know if annual pass better than hopper plus..does it discount our rooms at all?We're staying at pop century... i'm traveling with five kids- made reservations for princess breakfast at epcot-- nowsee that you can get vouchers at hotwire - is it worth it to try to get these?/I,ve been trying to plan wisely-- wish I had found this site long ago------PLEASE HELP THE EXHAUSTED MOM IF YOU CAN!!!

You are cutting it pretty close.You don't actually have to have the annual pass until you check in (from what I understand). You could call disney and see if you can get a discount with an annual pass. From what I understand (anybody please correct me if I am wrong) only one person has to have the annual pass to get a room discount. I have not checked out the discounts that are out right now so I am not sure that they even have one out for POP. Can't hurt to ask though. Don't know much about hotwire, but you are in the right place to find out. The people on this board are great.

I am fairly new to this board too and think it is fantastic.

I, too believe that only one of you has to have the annual pass to get the discount. If you are only going to go to the four main parks - how about park hopper passes not plus passes? They are cheaper. Can't help you with the vouchers don't know anything about them. We are also going to try the princess breakfast this time. Have fun. I'm sure someone else with help will post for you.

Only one person has to have a AP. But being so late, the chances of getting an AP rate on your room may not be that good. Check first then figure out if it's cost effective. ALOT of people have had problems with connections and the vouchers for meals. Hotwire savings club is owned by connections. Read the posts about them first then make your decision.

You are staying for a relatively short time to warrant an AP. Unless you are planning a visit again within the next year - I wouldn't waste the money to buy even one AP. As for a discount on POP, I would say that ship has sailed. Maybe if you come up with a code or switch to somesort of a package which usually include UPH tickets - you are probably stuck with whatever price you reserved the rooms for.

I have my lime ribbon on my backpack from last time. As for shopping, realistically I am done. I want more new clothes though , then again I always do!! Other than that, we have the poncho's, sunscreen, new sneakers (being broke in), new toothbrushes, all the stuff we always take. I would start packing, but I think it would push DH over the edge. So I will have to wait until a few days before we go to do that.

We won't be leaving until March 30th and I am already Itching to Pack!!!! Our kiddos have NO IDEA we are going at all!! I just bought a bunch of spring/summer type clothing and gave them to our girls for Valentine's Day and told them we would put them away in suitcases just to save room! Now, I can't wait to dig out our suitcases!!! My dh is going out of his mind because he keeps thinking I am going to blow the surprise at the rate I am going ... it is so exciting!!! We will pile into the car as if we were driving them to school after dropping my mom off at the airport for her yearly trip to see her family ... except this time we will go into the airport and say HEY, where would YOU go if you could go anywhere?!? Of course, their answer, as always, will be DISNEY WORLD ... to which we will say LETS DO IT!!! And head on over to the plane!! I can't wait!!! Yaayyy!!!

You can get the Park Hopper Passes at the Disney store for the same price they are on the Disney web site. They are slightly less then the prices at the gate, you'll get the ticket right then, so you won't have to wait. It was really good not to have to stand in the ticket line on the first day.

Thanks everyone for all your help--i actually called disney and can get the ap rate on both our rooms(we travel w/ five kids so we have to book 2 rooms) It is a SIGNIFICANT discount -- also on mapleleaftickets you can purchase your hopper passes and then have them waiting at the desk for you(they are in Kissimee) and the prices are about 1$ more than Hotwire-- also a big savings over getting them from disney. My husband wants to know what kind of therapist I'm going to need when we finally leave and I don't need to research this like I'm writing a thesis anymore!!!......

We leave April 1, and I've been packed for a few weeks now.

My son knows that we're going back this year, but I didn't tell him when. He keeps telling my parents "I know we're going soon because mommy packed a suitcase" "I know we're going soon because mommy made me look at menus again."
