Help! Land and Sea VS. Booking Myself

I've finally talked my DH into going on a cruise and we have even gone as far as deciding to do 4 days at wdw and a 3 day cruise. (I've got to hook him before he'll go for longer!)

I've been getting prices on the Land and Sea and thought I had finally made a decision. Now, a kind TA has suggested that we price it out ourselves.

There are four of us, DH, myself and 2 dkids. We all have annual passes and could renew them and use them while we're on the trip.

Previous experiences? Suggestions? Help me PLEASE!

Oh Yeah! We are planning to go to WDW starting on Sat. Nov. 20 and then go on the Nov. 25 (Thanksgiving) cruise.

If you have valid annual passes, booking the 2 parts separately will definitely be cheaper as the land/sea includes park passes (UPH) for the stay. If you don't have valid park passes, you need to price things out yourself separately. It is frequently cheaper to do them separately, but it depends on the hotel, the specials being offered, and what sort of passes you want/need.

If you will not use all the features of the UPH, it is often cheaper to use a park hopper plus and book separately.

I booked our WDW and Cruise separately because we wanted to stay at a different resort than was listed in the " catagory" We are doing a 4 night cruise in a cat 3 stateroom, then 3 nights at the AKL in a 1 bedroom suite. I called DCL first to see if we could do this and she said she would have to get back to me on the suite at the resort. also, there wouldnt be any price difference in the package ( and the standard rooms were 140 a night more for the GF ) so i did our trip seperately.

OH HONEYCHILD..... book it yourself. You'll save a bundle! I booked my cruise for about $1500.00 for my family in cat.11, then went to the AKL, standard view but got upgraded to a pool view and paid $105 per night. If I remember correctly, annual passholder rates were:
$54.00 All Star
$84.00 Moderates
$105.00 Deluxe (AKL, WL standard view)
$128.00 WL Woods view
$154.00 Savannah veiw, AKL
Airfare through Disney was $289.00 RT from Philadelphia, and got it for $154.00 myself through AirTran, direct non stop!
