Help!!!! Just Called about Reservations

I just called to reserve a camp site for January 2006 and they told me only preferred was left. I am kind of surprised that there are not any sites other than preferred left in January. Also, they quoted me a rate of $69.00 per nite and when I look at the value season for this year, it says $51.00 per night. He said they are having a big increase. Am I being taken advantage of? I need some help on what to do. I have two weeks to decide on my reservation. It is for 8 nights in January.

In January for a preferred site that is the rate was just there that is want we payed. Check the inlternet every day for a site I have called and they said the had no sites and booked one 20 min later on the Internet. Check every hour you will See.

The rate on disneycampers.com for the value season this past January was $51.00. The $69.00 rate is the peak rate.

What site do you watch? When I got to the disney site, they do not allow me to go out to 2006.

The rate they have given you is a "temporary" rate that Disney uses before the next year's rates are set. Our res. for Jan also are at the higher rates, and I was advised that when they set 2006 rates later this summer they will send a modifcation out advising you of the proper rate for the dates you have booked. We also had difficulites getting ressies when we booked 11 months in advance! I "hear" that WDW releases only so many sites of each type in blocks, so try try again. (Not official, just guesses by CM and thoughts of other DISers).The CM I was talking to when I finally was able to book advised me that you can't book that far ahead online until the new rates are set.
