Help Ive never used the DDP!

Ok im going solo in november and ive decided to be adventureous and stick out and use the table service credits (cause not using them would be a waste!) the last time i went solo i never did table service cause i felt dumb eating alone but ive read some good suggestion like bringing a book or not book to write trip report etc.... so as im choosing my table service restaurants i want to eat at places ive never been before... for example Le Cellier (im a huge! meat eater) but going over the menu they have both a soup and an appetizer that I want... can I get both and pay the diffrence the appetizer is way! more expensive then the soup I want so i dont know if that means they would make me pay oop for the more expensive one or not... Help me please!

You can definitely order extras, paying cash for them. You should specify which item(s) you want to be included versus paying cash for (because you may be smarter than your server ).
