I booked a house in Cumbrian Lakes and looked up the owner on the osceola website and it all checked out, at least I thought. We are going in April and I just looked it up on the Osceola site again and it is listed as a 4 bedrooms and it should be 5. Well, I did a google search and some things I am getting show a 4 bed some a 5. It doesn't even appear these are the same houses..what should I do. I am beginning to panic. Is it possible something is listed wrong. I know when I first looked on the Osceola appraisal site a few months ago it was right. HELP!!!

That does sound conflicting....did you get the details from the owner yet to access the home? Is it possible the owner has both a 4 bed and a 5 bed in that community? I guess the question is, is the home advertised the home you are getting? Did you go to www.zillow.com to see if the home is for sale, etc.? You may gain some info there.

He actually recently purchased it on 2009 and I found it on zillow listed as a 4 bed but it doesn't look like the one I am renting. I googled the address and it seems like there are 2 houses different looking houses with that address? Some show a 4 bed some a 5. I thought maybe a bedroom was added at some point but then the front of the house looks different. I don't know, maybe I am in a panic for nothing. Maybe it's a difference between say cumbrian lakes drive and lane or something.

OK, so I find it on propertymaps.com listing as what I thought it should be. I have the address on my rental info so I know that is correct and the name checks out as the owner. VRBO #243460. Maybe I am missing something. Maybe it can only be considered a 4 bedroom when it comes to sales, but I think the bathrooms listed are different as well.

Sounds like you're okay. I looked it up on VRBO and clicked on the website. Website says purchased new in 2009, consistent. It could be that they made a 5th bedroom out of an office or lounge area, and it could be registered as a 4 bedroom. Sometimes these sites make mistakes, too.
Home looks very nice!

Thanks. I am thinking that maybe for sale purposes it couldn't be listed as 5 bedrooms (one isn't large enough, not enough windows, etc.) The picture on Osceola appraisers site is maybe older and thus the palm tree in front of the house looks different. I just like having everything just so. Now, I just can't wait till it's time to go and get warm!!

One of the homes that we stayed in a couple of years ago was the same. Some places had it listed as a 5 br and some 4 br. We found when we got there that the front room which could be used as a den also had a day bed in it. I don't think the tax site considered it a bedroom because it had no closet and there were double doors that could be opened up to extend the living room area. We didn't need the extra bedroom so it didn't matter to us.

That's what I was thinking, Wanda. Such is the case with a lot of the townhomes in Vista Cay. They were sold as 2 bedrooms and the large room with a bath on the first floor was considered a den or office. Most owners put a door on this room and use it as a 3rd bedroom. (Which is lovely, as it has french doors out onto a patio.) They already had a large living area on the second floor, but the builder (Pulte) probably thinking next to Convention Center, business people will want an office?)
