Have never booked a package until now with the 4/3 package deal. I usually reserve room at AP rate. For those that have done both, is this 4/3 deal better then AP rate? If we go with this deal then I will not renew our AP of course. I currently have 10 nights early July (after the 4th) at the Poly for family of 5 with base 10 day park pass for each = $4,413.51 no dining.

Thanks a bunch for any information, tips, ideas, suggestions :thumbsup2

It's hard to know which deal is better being that AP rates have not been released for your time frame yet. If they are released before the booking window for 4/3 expires, I'd suggest leaving the 4/3 in place for your first 7 nights and then perhaps doing your remainder nights at the AP rate. Unless of course the AP rate is awesome and it computes to a better deal than the 4/3. Then in that case I'd cancel the 4/3 and book your whole trip at AP rate. It really is a waiting game, I would say, to see what the July AP discount will be.

Im in the same situation basically as Im an AP holder. It seems like the difference is very minimal in most cases. Im going to say that it seems like if you do the package and buy a 1 day base ticket, then use it to renew your AP instead of actually using it, it is a better deal. You also have to remember that the package has to be paid off 45 days prior to your trip, where the AP Room Only is paid once you check in. Personally, I just stuck with the AP rate for May this year as I wasn't going to have all the money by April to pay off the trip and I didn't want to have to deal with calling up and upgrading the one day base ticket and stuff. I'd rather not save $50 and just have things as easy for me as possible.
