Help!!! IRS is confusing me!

So I e-filed last Wednesday, it was accepted, their website said I should get the money by Feb7.

So today I looked again, (just because) and now it says "being processed" and gave me a number to call with a reference number. When I called, the lady says it still looks good for Feb 3, but she can't guarantee it. I asked her why it says this now, and she said the reference number is stating that I paper-filed. It was also telling me to say that it's been over 3 weeks, and it hasn't. She said she doesn't see any problems and it sounds like a glitch.

Would they tell me if there was a problem?

That is the date mine is going to be deposited as well. I say relax and if you don't have it deposited by the date they told you freak out! For now no since in worrying about something you can't control you already called and the lady said everything looks okay.

The IRS is much more concerned with shovelling the paperwork through all the proper places right now than making sure their refund reporting system is accurate.

I feel much better too. I got the same call this number and give them this number thing. They said mine was being sent to the error department but was still on schedule. I wonder if they are having a computer glitch or something now that a lot of other people are reporting the same thing.

I though our error might be from our Social Security withholding refund--DH had maxed out of SS contributions at his old job but when he started his new job they have to take out SS again, so we get that amount refunded. Turbo Tax said it might be a flag for review with the IRS so I wasn't too worried about it. Now I am not worried at all.

The IRS website said the same thing about mine today. I figured it was a glitch, but am glad to see it was happening to others as well.

Just went and checked (AGAIN) and now its back to my refund should be deposited by the 7th.

Maybe if we didn't check the wesite as often ~ we wouldn't even notice these glitches.
