My buddy was telling me they were down at EPCOT last summer and somewhere he said there was a refreshment location where you could try different types of soda from around the world. I was wondering if anyone knows what he was referring to and where it's at? Or was it something only offered at select times of the year?

This used to be called Club Cool, but it has been refurbished and is now called something that I can't think of off the top of my head. It is located to the right of Spaceship Earth as you are walking in.

Thank you so much!!! We've been to WDW 7-8 times and I never knew this place existed!!

The watermelon flavor is good also. Not sure which country it comes from.

It is still called Club Cool. It is located in the far South West end of the Innoventions building, past the fountain as your heading towards WS or Imagination. It has front and back entrances. About 8 different flavors. Free refreshment - you have to try them all. Sponsored by Coke, a nice spot to step into, havea few tastes, check out the merchandise. Was neer too crtowded either.

Somewhere there was a Beverly photo thread--it was hysterical!
To be truly initiated into this place, you MUST try Beverly I even have a srapbook page dedicated to it!
I think it used to be called Ice Station Cool?
Have fun once you get there!;)

Yes, it was called Ice Station Cool when it was a small free standing pavilion. I think it was over by TT, near the misting station area. I remember it being shaped like an igloo but I could be thinking of something else.

And I didn't find the Beverly that bad ;)

It's not that bad . . . . . . .

if you like carbonated Nyquil!

:rotfl2:

It's the 'bitters' that give Beverly its kick. :lmao: It ain't your dad's coca cola!

Angostura bitters, often simply referred to as angostura, is a concentrated bitters for food and beverages made of herbs and spices.

The recipe was developed in 1824 by German Dr. Johann Gottlieb Benjamin Siegert, a Surgeon General in Simon Bolivar's army in Venezuela. He was based in Ciudad Bolívar which was then known as Angostura, and used locally available ingredients. The exact formula is a closely guarded secret, with only five people knowing the whole recipe.[1]

Today, Angostura bitters are produced by various vendors, some of which add the bark of the angostura tree, possibly merely to make it legal to put the word "angostura" on the label, which is a registered trademark of House of Angostura in the country of Trinidad and Tobago.

As Angostura bitters are extremely concentrated, they are not normally drunk purely, but used to flavour drinks and food; usually only a few drops or dashes are used.

Angostura bitters are a key ingredient in many cocktails. Originally used to mask the flavour of quinine in tonic water along with gin, the mix stuck in the form of a Pink Gin, and is also used in many other alcoholic cocktails such as "Long Vodka", consisting of vodka, Angostura bitter, and lemonade, and the Manhattan, made with whiskey and sweet (Italian) vermouth. In a Pisco Sour a few drops are sprinkled on top, mostly for decorative purposes. It is also the key ingredient in a Rum Cannonball.

That's an understatement. Everything in there IS Coke. Yes, Coke produces Beverly in other parts of the world.

If you go the the World of Coca-Cola here in Atlanta, you get even more "delicious" flavors. That's where my son "encouraged" his grandparents that Beverly was the next best thing to sliced bread. I think he was written out of the will five minutes later.

I was there earlier this month and we set some people up for Beverly. :stir: It is evil, I confess, but SO much fun!

(The best part, we set this guy up to try it, and not 5 minutes later his wife comes up and he is telling her to try the Beverly :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: )

My dd was having problems with her sugar levels - she'd get "woodjy" (faint feeling)

and she swears that BEVERLY made her feel better!! :rotfl2: My extremely picky dd (11) made us take her to get Beverly (we actually filled a water bottle) every day!! :rotfl2:

she says it was just the right medicine to make her feel better!! :goodvibes
