Hi all, My husband and I are going to be at the World from Nov.11-17. Well, DH's brother and his wife live in Panama City Beach and their mom will be visiting there at the same time. It was a last second decision for her and had we known we would have cut our trip a few days short to go there and visit before our vacation was over. So, we are thinking that the three of them may drive to meet us for an afternoon together and maybe dinner, but so they don't have to spend the money to buy tickets to a park where would you all suggest for a nice meal that we would enjoy. It would have to be at a on site hotel or DTD. California Grill and Narcoosee's(sp?) are a little pricey for our budget trip. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Also, if they did come visit and we were to just go to our room for a bit for some reason is that okay?

Thanks!

Kona is always a good choice, but we also like Portebello Yacht Club in Pleasure Island. PYC is not on DDP, so it might be easier to get a reservation there.

Have a great trip!

It should be no problem for them to visit at your room with you for a while. We have family in Florida and this is a very common thing. :)

Check the Yacht Club Galley and the Grand Floridian Cafe. Both are open for lunch and dinner so you can choose your meal. And both aren't that popular so getting a reservation wouldn't be that difficult (I got a dinner reservation at Yacht Club Galley for 6:10 on a Saturday night and I called about five days before the trip).

Visitors are fine at the resorts. Make sure they have your room number to give to the security guard at the gate. And they might have to show a driver's license or other form of photo ID at the gate. Just depends on the guard at the time.

I like Boma - great food and buffet so a fixed price. Chef Mickey's might be fun - but I am a sucker for Character meals!

I very much enjoyed Kona and seeing the Poly. You can walk around and see the resort after dinner.
We love Jiko, but it is expensive. If you decide to eat here, go before sunset and enjoy the Savannahs.
Be sure to make ADR's as soon as possible, because these restaurants are very popular and completely book.
