Help! I'm stressing over formal night!

I've been trying to find a very nice dress (no gown) for formal and semi-formal nights, but am totally striking out. DH and DSs are wearing dark suits. How out of place will I be on formal night if I just wear a "little black dress"? I'm hoping to find a something a little flashier, but budget and limited selection in my area are holding me back. I've searched all over online and even on Ebay, but still having no luck. I'm getting soooo discouraged. Help!

Don't stress over it. Our first cruise was the 6/19 Western, and I went through the same sort of thing. There's a wide range of dress, even on formal night. I saw fancy gowns and sundresses.

Wear your little black dress. May you can jazz it up with some fancy cubic zirconia or crystal jewelry.

This is my first cruise and I'm wearing a chiffon to the calf no sleeve dress. Found it on clearence at JCPenney. I work at a bridal salon and maybe you can try some in your area. They should have a sale rack. Just remember that most dresses can be altered to fit better, or if they are strapless and you need a hem you can use material from the hem and make straps.

If the gown is long and you want to have it at your calf just ask if it can be done!!!

Your little black dress sounds perfect. You want to be comfortable and beautiful at the same time. If trying to dress like the prom is going to make you stressed out, don't do it. The dressing styles are wide from prom gowns to totally ignoring the request. Put on your best jewelry (it's easy to pack) and a beautiful smile and have a great time.
