HELP : i'm so frustrated

I have been trying all morning to make these ticker things work. Somebody suggested going to tickerfactory to create one, which I did, but I have no idea how transfer that into a post. I have looked on the FAQ above but cant find the answer there (seems all jargon to me anyway). The User CP doesnt seem to have section for that. I have read that you click a browser button in the post section but I cant find one

I cant find all those disney smilies either. There is a button here that says "more" but when i click it nothing happens.

Hmmm. I am wondering if it is your number of posts. I know there is a minimum number of posts before you can post a picture, so maybe this is the case or adding a ticker to your signature. It is basically a picture file.

It's been a while since I created mine, but I seem to remember that when you are done, the text to copy-and-paste is offered in a couple of different formats. If that is the case, make sure you are NOT choosing the HTML format, since that has been turned off on these boards. I forget what the other option is called, but that's the one you want.

Other than that you highlight it to copy, press Control-C to do the copy, then paste it in your signature under User CP (Control-V to paste).

Don't know if any of that helps you out but hope you can get it working!

Maybe I can help.

1. After you create your ticker, they ask you how you want to save it and offer several choices. You need to highlight and copy the one that says Bb code.

2. Then get back on here and go to the top bar that says user cp, FAQ, members list, calendar, etc. across the top and select USER CP.

3. Then select edit signature. This takes you to a screen where you can now paste your Bb code (that you copied from the ticker factory).

4.Then select preview signature and see that it is there.

5.Then select save signature.

Yeahhhhhhhh! it worked. Thankyou so much. It was just frustrating me - silly really

I guess this is the way to attach any picture, script about past visits, phrases etc

How do you find the disney smilie things? My list on the left only goes down to a hippy, fireman etc

Glad it worked!

For the smilies, at the bottom there is the word more. If you click on it and don't get a pop up box with the additional smilies it is probably because you have a pop up blocker installed on your computer. Most of us do nowadays, and even if we didn't intsall it, programs like yahoo mail and web browsers like AOL, Verizon, etc. add pop up blockers as a perk automatically. Most of us don't want annoying pop up ads and such as we surf the net.

To allow pop ups from this site, you must go to you control panel icon under your start menu and then internet properties, then click on the security tab and go to the trusted sites. Here is where you can add this website address as one of your trusted sites and pop ups will be allowed then.
