I just returned home last week from WDW (we were there 10 days) and we're tenatively going for 4 or 5 days in October and I'm already pricing out resorts for next summer all while thinking of ways to convince DH to renew our AP's when they expire Oct. 18th. Is there something wrong with me? Why don't I want to go anywhere else? Why not go to the beach for a week? How about Williamsburg and Busch Gardens? What about Vermont or other beautiful New England landmarks? How about the Carolinas? Hey! What about California!? It's beautiful there and Disneyland is there. What about a cruise?

These are all valid points, but all I want to do is go to Disney! It's a sickness, pure and simple. Is there no cure?

You are not alone. We are going in December for the second time this year, and we live in PA., not exactly neighbors to Florida. It is the only place we really want to go to, and we always have fun there. I think there is comfort in knowing what to expect when you get there, and knowing you will have fun at nice family place.

Count me in too...I had never been to WDW and would always be the first to say "Not interested". We finally went last month and had so much fun, I booked AKL today for Next July, too. :flower:

If there is a cure please don't tell me or my DH!

The thing about Disney is I KNOW I will have a great time, everything else is "I wonder if I will like that" so I go with the sure thing!

Nope nothing wrong with you. We all have the Disney bug! :wizard: I'd rather not go anywhere else.

Maybe when my kids are all grown up we will travel to other places, but I for one love going with my kids because we have so much fun as a family. Everyone has a good time together. It is tough to find a place like that when you go on vacation. We go to the beach every summer and that is fun too, but other than that its Disney for me!!!

I am with all of you. We are going again this October and all I keep talking to my DH about is when we will go back again. I am driving him crazy. You plan and plan and plan and then its gone. So sad! We are going to WDW for a few days this Oct., then the 3 night Disney cruise and then in November will spend 2 days in DL and I still can't get enough. I want to go to NYC to see the World of Disney and have already convinced my DH that we should go back next May.

Every night before bed I re-read Birnhaum's WDW book 2005, I am on Disboards all day long (and I work full time) and on the weekends I will go into book stores and look through Disney books! Ahh! I even requested WDW's 2005 video (which is terrible) to just watch.

I've got the Disney fever and PROUD OF IT LADIES AND GENTS!

:cool1:

Hail thee, O obsessed one!!!! ;) I think I can join this club---unfortunately we won't be able to go back to WDW until 2007  , unless some outrageously great deal comes along and even then it won't be until after next summer. But I do get my daily fix on these boards :goodvibes .

Nope, you simply have Disney addiction. We all have it and DIS boards is what I call group therapy. We have a DCL cruise booked for January, 2006 and already planning on another WDW trip December, 2006. :earseek:

We also got back a week ago. I upgraded my passes before we left!!!! We were supposed to plan a couples only ttrip but DD keeps telling us she wants to come with us when we return, possibly in Dec 2006.

My other DD, is still pretty burnt out from the trip and the heat, but I think she will come around....when she hears about the Dec. weather.

as for going anywhere else...I do not want to waste hard earned money on a vacation I may not enjoy. So i keep telling DH we should skip it and just keep the money for our future trip.

Still don't know what to do about next summer's vacation though....

You could always join DVC... then you could have 36-50 years of Disney vacations!!! :cool1:
Oh and from NJ, you could drive down to Williamsburg and stop by Busch Gardens. Stay there a day or 2, then drive down to Hilton Head Island and stay at the DVC resort there.... stay a few days, then on down to WDW and hang out a few days, then head back to Hilton Head, then back to Williamsburg, then back to NJ.

Then repeat.... :goodvibes

my mom and I go to Disney atleast 2 times a year. And she goes all the time by herself, and we live in CT. We started planning to go to Disney next august before we even went to Disney in Dec last year. And she is going in Oct with my aunts.

I started planning out our trip to DL when we were coming back from WDW in May/June of this year. Then I found out about a conference I'll be attending in Orlando in April 2006, so I'm planning an extended stay to go to WDW for a week or so. And I'm already planning a trip in Oct 2006 too! :goodvibes

I'm not sure if it's WDW that's addictive, or the planning! The trip is what you look forward to, but the planning is what passes the time and builds the excitement of going! :wizard:

You are not alone! We made 4 trips to WDW from upstate NY last year! This year we went in March and then 4th of July week. When we decided to return for our 23rd anniversay (2 weeks later) at the end of July, we knew it was time for DVC. Meanwhile, we booked the stay, play and dine package for September while we wait for the DVC paperwork to process. Then I guess we'll have to plan our first trip "home." When does it end you ask? We hope in 2054 (unless we're still alive and able to renew our membership!) :rotfl2:

you are most certainly not alone!
Just today someone said "What are you going to do in disney...haven't you seen everything?"

Been There Done That GOING BACK :Pinkbounc
