Help!! I'm not "Tech"savvy

I would like to buy DMIL something like a Nook or Kindle for Christmas. I would prefer for it to be in color and come with 3G service. She loves to read and play games. Can someone please tell me what I need to buy? I totally don't understand the difference in all the tablets!!! Why must it be so complicated

I dont believe either the nook or the kindle come with color and 3g. I know the Kindle e-reader can be bought with 3g but not in color. And i don't think there is an avaialable option for 3g on any of the nook's. sorry. Ipad?

The simple Nook has, or at least HAD a 3G version. The Nook Color, Nook Tablet and Kindle Fire are all Wifi only. In your case I think you want something more than a Nook or Kindle. I have a Nook Color and love it but it is first and foremost an e-reader. The Nook Tablet is just a muscled up version of the NC. The Kindle Fire has more apps but again, no 3G.

I know the Blackberry Playbook comes with Wi-Fi but if you have a Blackberry phone there is a way to teather it so it has 3G on the same plan as the phone.
