Help. Ideas for count down party

Hi I have heard talk about a fun thing to do with kids is a disney count down party.

So please share with me you ideas tips and resorces

I was hoping to make a cake but haven't found any thing good on cake making yet.

This isnt really a party idea but we always do a countdown calendar on our kitchen chalkboard. we take turns everyday changing it and counting down. We actually do it for birthday, christmas, end of school etc...

Go to dollarama and buy construction paper and the little packs of Dsiney stickers. Make a paper chain and decorate with the stickers and then the kids remove a link everyday as they countdown to your trip.

I also started sending trivia questions in their lunchboxes....which ride at EPCOT has the character Figment...etc....they would answer first thing when they got home from school everyday!

Have a Disney meal.....make Mickey pancakes or Mickey pasta . Have the kids decorate the table and wear disney ckothes to dinner. PLay disney music.

Let the kids plan their vacation. Lay out park guidebooks or lists of rides at each park and have them list what they want to do......I guess this works better if they have already been and so they know what these attractions are.
