HELP i need to know what to do

ok so im goin on a fort wilderness trip with my son in about two weeks and i want to know what is there to do there besides goin to any of the parks and anything inside fort wilderness.
We have been there alot of times but never been outside of the park while staying at fort wilderness when we go its we go go to a park go back to the RV then stay a few nights then leave

so i want to know whats good to do around fort wilderness with my 12 year old son

I know you said ya'll do the parks....but does that include the water parks? Great way to spend a hot day. Also the Cirque du Soleil at DTD is great! And we enjoy the Medieval Times dinner show every now and then. Definitely something a 12yr old boy would like.

Singalong at the campfire.

Roast smores/hot dogs at the campfire.

Basketball hoops.

Playground.

Archery.

Hike trails.

Bike rentals.

Canoe rentals.

Golf cart rentals.

Seway tour, (dont know required age).

A beach to play on.

Pony rides,,( for the younger children)

Evening hayride,,(I think, not sure)

Aw, as the wife of a devout fisherman, that would be breaking the code amongst anglers, wouldn't it?

No, I'd initially answered about stuff to do AT the Fort, but then I went back and realized OP is talking about stuff to do OTHER THAN at the Fort. (I think that's what he meant, anyhoo.) So I went off to see if another cup of decaf would wake me up.

The thing is im not exactly willing to spend alot of money because we just went to magic kingdom & Blizzard Beach last week, and i want to do something around the disney area something thats not on disney property because we've pretty much done everything thats on disney property every park to

You're must either a local or spend a lot of time at Disney to have seen and done pretty much everything.

While I'm sure that you can get some good advice here, you may want to check the Orlando Hotels and Attractions forum.

The wording and location of your post made some (as well as myself) believe that you were wanting free things to do IN the Fort.

Some good suggestions have already been given.

You can bike ride to the Wilderness Lodge on the trail and get soft serve ice cream.

A fun and pretty in-expensive thing to do is to rent their little 2 person watercraft boats. There is a coupon and special going on at this time (don't know if it will be in effect when you are there) that you get 30 minutes free with a half hour rental. So I went out with my 13 year old son, made sure he was ok with it, then got out and let him take off with it. I think for a hour's use it was only $35. He had a blast and would do it again.

The segway tours are limited to age 16 and above.

They have volleyball nets on the beach and you can either rent one or bring your own. I do believe you have to bring your own basketball. They also have horseshoes and I think either chess or checkers by the Trails End. Oh and hopscotch! Although my knees did not like it I had a blast and we ended up having a few passer-byes stop to play for a bit. I love the Fort .

Just to be safe, I would.
But I'm pretty sure they would have one,


but I can tell you for a fact that they RENT fishing poles pretty cheap, and sell bait at a MAGICAL PRICE $$$$ !
