Im going to WDW this fall with hubby and 2 kiddos - ages 5 & 8 (OMG! They grow up way too fast!).

We'll be staying at the Pop for 5 nights and then moving over to the BCV for the next 5 nights. Ive never done a multi resort stay before. Im hoping its not a nightmare. Its either gonna be fun or :scared1:. If anyone can share tips to make it easier, I would love to hear.

Here are some things Ive been wondering:

  • Is there an easy way to have my baggage moved to the BCV? Or do I have to move it?
  • Whats the easiest way to re-check in? (online?)
  • What hoopla should I expect with ticketing stuff? Im not sure if I am going to upgrade to an annual pass at check-in or just use the MYW passes that came with the Pop ressie. If I have the normal MYW passes, and they are on my room key, does that cause problems when I check out of the Pop?
  • Im on the DDP at the Pop and didnt opt for it at the BCV. I can use the meal plan until midnight on the day I check out, right? Or does checking into another resort mess that up?

Im sure there are other things Im not thinking of. If anyone has done this, please share. I would love the help! THANK YOU!!!

We changed resorts twice during our stay: OKW, ALV, POR and it was easy peasy lemon squeezy. Bell services transfers your luggage for you. Call them when you get to your room and viola, it's there. :thumbsup2

I like to check in in person so I can't comment on the online process.

Sounds like you are going to have a great time!!

Yes, you can have your luggage transferred. Take it to bell services at the resort and tell them it has to go to BCV. They will get it transferred for you. When your room at BCV is ready, call down and they will bring it up to you.

I don't think I would do online check in (but that is just me) and just head over first thing in the AM. Will you have a car? If so, head over before you go to the parks that day. Your room won't be ready but you'll have what you need.

You can have the MYW tickets taken off of your KTTW card. If you bought more days then you will be at POP, then I would suggest it. If you are going to be there for 10 days, and plan park days for all of them, I think the AP, with the DVC discount, will be a better option. YOu can just upgrade the passes at guest relations.

No, checking in and out of a resort will not affect your ability to use the DDP on that transition day. The credits for your first stay expire at midnight of check out day so you will still be able to use them!

Have fun!!!
