My husband and I have been planning for this great vacation to Disney for August and I just found out I am pregnant :cool1:
The question is: Should we still go to Disney since we (i) can not go into any of the rides. Any suggestions, places I can still go (I am a huge fan of roller coster rides). Also, I will be on my second trimester by that time why is it not safe to go on the Safari ride? I have been there many times before and I don't recall it being unsafe?

Ana

I have been while pregnant quite a few times....I just took it easy and didn't ride any coasters. The safari ride is VERY bumpy, I mean if you normally go to the chiropractor you won't need adjusting after this ride....
there are still many other rides you can do and of course you can enjoy the restaurants!!

I went to the Disney website and read all of the restrictions for guess going to all major parks, but found no additional information about the water rides.
Where can I find information about them? Ana

I have never been to Disney while pregnant, but I went to Sea World in June when I was about 20 weeks. Like Lilygator said, I avoided the more intense rides and I stopped for water and breaks a lot. Plus, we checked out all the shops and I think I had a snack in every area . :rotfl:

Since you are going in August, you will need to stay hydrated and if you get tired, take a break.

I would definately go, and have fun! :sunny:

Do you mean water rides like SM and KRR or water rides like in the wp's. When i was preggo my doc said no water parks because going down those long water slides can force water inside you and cause probs.

Hi
Like the major rides at the theme parks the same restrictions apply to the big slides etc at the water parks. You'll just have to take it easy this time and enjoy the coasters etc after the baby is born.Since having my DS though the rides now make me feel v sick, before this I was fine - or am I just getting old :rotfl:

If this is your first child then I would definitely go now...before you have the babies and all of the apparatus that goes with them. We've taken our kids to parks when I was pregnant and had fun just hanging out and watching them have a blast and going on the quiet rides...plus its Disney! There is so much other stuff to see and do besides the crazy rides...go and have a great time while the little one is still on the way.

When I first read your post I thought my old post had been brought back up. I booked a trip for August and later got pregnant with my 4th. I decided that I'm still going. I've just had long talks with the kids about what I can't ride and they are really fine with it. There is so much else to do at WDW and they would rather be there in August than sitting at home. Best of luck in your decision. Maybe we'll see you down there. I'll be in my second trimester also.

just got back from WDW and i'm 17 weeks...showing (my 2nd baby) true, you cant do the Rollercoasters and stuff...and Safari is my FAVORITE RIDE EVER...but ya know...so what. You can do SOARIN (totally COOL) and you'll do things that you wouldnt have done before...you'll enjoy the restaurants more, and just remember to DRINK DRINK DRINK and rest when you feel like it. No big deal...

We're going back in Sept with DD (3) and i'll be almost 8 mos then...omg, wait for that trip report!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
